Gun in backseat dream

    Folks,

    I had a dream last night that freaked me out. Here is the scenario of the dream:

    I was in the drivers seat of my car. In the rear view mirror, I could see the top portion of a rifle. The rifle was pointed up at the ceiling in the beginning of the dream and it started to angle down. I realized that the rifle was going to be aimed at the back of my head and I was going to be shot dead. At this point, I woke up with great anxiety.

    Just as the rifle started to move down, I thought about trying to stop the person with the rifle from aiming at my head to shoot me. I was unable to do this and that is when I work up.

    It's interesting that you mention you are in the driver's seat. That's a symbol for being in control. Do you feel that someone is trying to knock you out of that seat? In other words, is someone vying for control of your life? Are you currently in a relationship in which you are both trying to dominate?
