Last night, I dreamt that I was searching for dinner and came across a large group of people sitting outside on tables at park--lots of folding chairs and tables with umbrellas. It was set along a pretty waterfront. There was buffet of Italian food for people to purchase under a large, white tent. It felt like a beautiful spring day with people enjoying being outside and by the water. I told myself to go over there, but I turned around, and the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, Missouri was behind me. It was massive--I have seen it in waking life, but not since I was a little kid(I am 29 now), and my dream had it much bigger. It was shiny, but had an eery, scary quality to it. I decided to take a picture of it, and used my iPad(I don't have one in waking life). I realized the buffet was cash only, and quickly moved through the streets to look for an ATM. The machine was not working, yet a woman came by and plugged it in. It kept sending me the wrong amounts, and it was malfunctioning. Any thoughts?
all i can think of is the great arch. i might represent your future. since it seemed erie, it might mean that you fear your past or future. do you regret anything you have done when you were a kid?
Passing through an archway makes me think of making a big step from one phase in your life through another. Kind of like crossing the threshold of your house after you get married. Why are you so frightened about what you are going to do with your life? For many people, not having a clear path can be a very positive things, because it means they have many different choices. A buffet can symbolize the choices you have in life. Not being able to get the money you need to buy the food can mean that you feel that you don't have the preparation to achieve the things you otherwise could achieve; that because of your past, your choices have been limited.
