My father passed away a year ago. We were very close. I was his baby. He died one month before my wedding. I have had a lot of dreams about him. Some were in place that we were at before. I miss him so much and lately it has been really getting to me. I recently had a dream about him. We were at my wedding. He came in, when he did everyone else disappeared it was just him and I. He gave me a hug told me I looked beautiful. I looked down, he had grease on his hands, I laughed and said Dad you are getting my dress dirty. He laughed to and said it will be ok. He was a rancher, so his hands always were a little dirty. He gave me a big hug and said Princess I love you. I said I love you too. The hug felt so real. He turned to walk away, and I said where are you going. He turned and said I have to go Home. We were both crying. I kept saying don't leave. Then there was a good friend of our families there and he told her she had to follow him. I said I would follow him home. He told me I couldn't. I had to stay and have fun. The weird thing is our family friend is alive still. Then they were gone, and I woke up crying and hugging myself. I am native american, so I believe in spirits. I just would like some imput on this dream. It felt so real my dad looked like my dad, and he even smelled the same. I know its crazy, but it kinda made me happy. It felt like I really got to hug my dad again.

That sounds like a very nice dream. It is normal to dream about someone you love after they have died.

When the family friend said she had to follow him, it could have met she is going to follow in his footsteps in some way.
