I am a deer hunter. The other night I had a dream that I went bow hunting and shot a deer. It starting running in cricles then it ran at me. I ran in side my house, btw I hunt on my back deck. I ran up stairs into my room and it followed me there. It said a few things, I can't recall what, just something to do with hunting. Then it hopped on my bed and transformed into a beautiful woman. Then I slept with her, I won't go into the deatails about that. But what does this mean?
I think the deer turning around and running at you could represent a fear that you could have that something you have done or a decision you have made could turn around and "bite you in the ass". The part where the deer turns into a woman and you have sex could just be you acting out your normal sexual urges while you are asleep. It could also be your unconscious' way of telling you that yous should make the best of a bad situation.
The sport of hunting is much like the way most men approach love relationships- they 'hunt' and 'conquer' the woman they are attracted to. The doe turning and chasing you, IMO, shows the confusion in today's society where women are just as free to 'hunt' as men. Your first instinct was to protect yourself from her. Most of the men I know are terrified of women who pursue.
I have no fear of women hunting. In fact it is a turn on for me. I know weird. And I really don't see hunting as a sport, at least not for me. For me it is to provide food for myself. I have been going over whatt i can recall in the dream and the woman had on a light ocean blue dress, like the color of the ocean in hawaii. What does this mean? The dream seemed very real.
Since you hunt deer for food, the dream could mean that you are unconsciously feeling guilty about "taking" too much from someone. Since the blue dress reminded you of the ocean in Hawaii, it could represent a need to escape (take a vacation) and enjoy yourself, as you did when you were having sex with the woman.
The deer represents an aspect of your emotional nature – one that exists on a more instinctive level. The deer usually reflects a feeling of being a “dear”, making oneself endearing to others by being sweet and kind. Shooting the deer with bow and arrow can imply that your emotional nature is receiving the point, in this case the point being that being a dear serves you by providing you with emotional satisfaction (as you shoot only for food) [Are you aware of being a dear only where you can see favourable consequences for you?] This is putting stress on your emotional nature. (it starts running in circles) By running at you, your instinctive nature which gives you the urge to be a dear, is making a charge against you, i.e. it has some accusation or complaint against you. [As contact with a charging deer can damage the body, this type of accusation can produce an emotional ailment.] To avoid this charge or accusation against yourself, you seek the protection of your own mental attitude (ran inside my house). Because you hunt from your back deck, it can suggest that when making your point that endearing yourself to others is meant to provide you with emotional satisfaction or is simply self serving, you are not being upfront – not entirely honest or truthful – in relation to your own mental attitude. You can see yourself in a gaining situation, one using a logical process of reasoning (ran up stairs)when seeking the protection of your personal point of view. (into my room) But the feeling that could motivate you to be a dear is not easily shaken off (it followed me there). As the deer follows you upstairs, it also indicates that the instinctive urge to be a dear can be seen acquiring a higher level of intelligence than might usually be attributed to it. By speaking to you, it would be implied that the instinctive urge to be a dear is giving you an emotional nature that has been elevated above the basic irrational, instinctive level – because speaking implies using rational concepts. From the perspective of a more rational thinking, the feeling that can motivate you to be a dear would have something to say about the point you were making – namely that such feelings serve you only to bring you emotional satisfaction. By transforming into a human woman, it implies that you could regard the urge to be a dear as being a conscious, rational feeling or idea that does look good. (beautiful woman) The feeling is desirable to a man (I slept with her). And it can/does provide a man with emotional satisfaction via pleasure for the body. (as is obtained via sex) [I think that what this dream is trying to say is that while being sweet and kind may come across as very self serving, it can obtain for a male what he greatly desires – sex. Being a dear is simply a man’s way of obtaining his pleasures. (P.S. I have never seen a dream in which hunting an animal just for food has been shown by the Lord to be wrong.)] The light blue dress worn by the woman indicates that a rational feeling of being a dear has a spiritual function. (this is emphasized by the comparison with the colour of the ocean)
