I had this dream where I was kissing a boy, and then I recalled a piece of knowledge of something that he said in real life, and I was thinking to myseld "Wow, he must really like me because he once said to me that If I kissed him he would pull back and ask me why i kissed him." When I woke up I realized that I was inside the dream as if I were a real person and I had the knowledge that I gained from my real everyday experiences.

I would like to know, what type of dream is this? When you are inside a dream, and it is an unusual reality. You can re-call all knowledge that you have in real life. It is as if you are inside a universe that is not your own. I was not lucid dreaming, because I didn't know it was "not a dream". I just simply realized when I awoke that I had all the same knowledge as concious life.

If you would like a full description of this dream, ask for it because I wrote it all down as soon as I awoke so I would not forget.

    Thank you!

I think this type of dream is what you might call ‘almost lucid’; it has a lot of the similarities of lucid dreaming, knowing what you know in waking life, yet you still aren’t aware that you are dreaming. There are probably other labels for it but it’s basically your conscious mind having a close connection with your unconscious mind, either by accident or by design – probably the former. It could be that these types of dreams need extra assistance in getting their message across to you, achieving this by dipping into your conscious memory; this sounds a bit confusing because memory is just memory really, but the brain tends to keep certain types of thoughts for dreaming and other, more clear thoughts for when you are awake – but for some dream messages the subconscious-type imagery isn’t sufficient to resolve certain issues, so your brain will try and enhance them (the images) with more recognizable (to you) conscious memories. Does that make any sense? :)

I had an "almost lucid" dream the other night. I was going through a hospital ward and walked into a patient's room. It was a young man who started talking to me. He had blotchy skin so I assumed that was the reason he was in the hospital. Then it occured to me that if I make him more attractive (clear up his skin by thinking about it), I would get into bed with him and have some fun. But then, I just stood there and listened to him carry on this conversation with me and thought, "Wow! This is an interesting character in my dream!" end.

I did not recongnize my thoughts about my dream as knowing I was having a dream. It was just sort of accepted without much thought.
Sounds bizarre but that's the best way I can describe it. :?

Sound pretty cool though, might happen more often in the future and you might be conscious enough to fool around with the dream. :)
