hey guys i had this rather disturbing dream and its really important for you guys to help me out! the dream: i was in this plaza/cafeteria type of thing and this woman in a suit walked up to me and i just turned around and looked at her and she told me to sit down i guess because i sat down on this metallic table and she was telling me about my great-grandmother about her health and property etc. and i asked if something was wrong and she told me she had died and so one tear rolled down on my cheek (she is still alive and she is 99 very old and all but we love her very much) and next thing i know im standing up with a supermarket cart in front of me empty if i may add, and next to me, passes a friend and that i have not seen since i moved here.. her name is cecilia plaza and her brother's is andres plaza.. and then i find myself looking at these people staring at the other side of the street smiling and they were by a big house thing and the road was made of dirt and rocks and the buildings were like the buildings that the spanish made when they first came here and then i don't remember what happend... then i woke up and about a week or 2 later my grandma's brother calls here and says my great-grandmother is sick bronquitis i think it's spelled that way. why is this happening? and sweet slumber i think it was said the dream was of the dreamer... does this mean im going to die soon or that some type of tragic or dramatic loss is going to take place? and why cecilia plaza IN a plaza...... im really disturbed by this thanks guys... grace
I think it's natural that you would be worried about your grandmother's health, at her age, and that it wouldn't be unusual for a woman her age to get bronchitis. Your dreaming about people named "Plaza" in an actual plaza could be your mind playing with words and making puns, which happens sometimes in dreams. I don't understand why you would think that this dream is about you or would predict something bad about to happen to you. In waking life, do you have any reason to think this might be so?
well not an exact reason but my luck is pretty much screwed and sweet slumber said the dream is about the dreamer so what's going on here? thx grace
What Marcia said about "plaza" is correct. It was most probably a play on words. What you could do is do a word association with it and see what else you come up with--such as places or names, etc. What comes to mind when you think of a plaza? What other words does plaza sound like. Does it sound like a person's name that you know? Your grandmother is 99. Wow! I think, as Marica stated, that you were dreaming the inevitable---about her death, not yours. The dream was about YOUR anxiety about the possibility of losing her, that she won't be around much longer. So yes, dreams are about the dreamer. That includes the dreamers emotional state. It is your way of processing her death so when it comes, you will be more prepared. Your grandmother could live much longer too. The dream was about your anxiety about her health when you heard about her sickness.
