I heard the wingspan thing somewhere recently; maybe on Terry and Gaby, I know don't mock me:) I always laugh when people try and make predictions about the future of science, especially when they try and sound like 'experts'....

Came across that little tidbit whilst readin' about ancient map makers.

The possible amount of information and knowledge which has been lost between civilizations is quite amazing imo.

I know lots of info was lost after the fall of the Roman empire; the dark ages.

Did you know, the average human eats 8 spiders in their lifetime at night?

I remember swallowing one whilst awake once :(

Many moons ago when I was at school a so called friend threw one at me and it went straight down my throat  I could feel it lodged there for a while, it was sooooooo yuck.
Worst of it is, I cant stand spiders, they frighten me big time (cant find a frightened icon)

    there is this one: :shudder:

Did you know, William Bourne, a British mathematician, drew plans for a submarine in 1578. But it was only in 1620 that Cornelius van Drebbel, a Dutch inventor, managed to build a submarine. He wrapped a wooden rowboat tightly in waterproofed leather and had air tubes with floats to the surface to provide oxygen. Of course, there were no engines yet, so the oars went through the hull at leather gaskets. He took the first trip with 12 oarsmen in the Thames River - staying submerged for 3 hours.

A few months ago I thought you were relatively normal., but now I know you are in need of some astrophoic help... please seek a substitute, before you are completely sane. It does no good to ignore the problem. Everybody suffers when you gain a true perspective on life. How ever many tigers you have killed in the past, doesnt have any baring on whats happening now. Put your shoes on my friend and take the step. Do it NOW you know it makes sense. Dont ever worry., I will always be there to guide you...whatever path you choose.. Just ask and all will be revealed...I am not a rottweiler or a fermium...alas.. I am truly unbowed. Threfore you can trust me without fearing Hades.

    Namaste.

When you read my dreams in the dream page some of them have the word 'comments' written under them, if I think they're interesting. When you click 'comments' it takes you to a page where you can make some comments; this is what they call a 'Guest Book'... where you can comment on the dreams or just the website in general. Or even write a load of nonsense like Benji does :D

Is that you or the spiders crawling out of your eye listening to modern jazz? I know with you it could be either; I know how you are with spiders, especially imaginary ones like those in Amsterdam... :rasta:

Did you know more than 100 billion crayons have been produced so far. The first crayons consisted of a mixture of charcoal and oil. In the early 1900s, Edwin Binney and Harold Smith developed a nontoxic wax crayon. Binney's wife, Alice, attached the French word for chalk, craie, with "ola," from oily, to form the Crayola name.

The first Crayola crayons came in a box of 8. By 1957, 40 new colours were introduced. Today there are more than 120 crayon colours. Over 5 billion crayons are produced each year.
