I'm entering a fast food restaurant (McDonald's) with family members and it is the day after Thanksgiving (U.S. holiday). The restaurant is having an after Thanksgiving special featuring leftovers from people's meals. I look to see what other customers are eating---they are eating from cafeteria trays that contain noodles, corn, jello mixes, etc. I ask the cook, a man who is wearing a white cooks apron, "Do you have any chicken or salad?" He says, "Sure we do!" He hands me a tray with a slab of pale colored meat and a soggy peice of vegtable that resembles wet zuccini. This is not very appetizing and the shape of the food reminds me of images from Salvador Dali paintings (like the shapes in the "Memory" painting seen on this web site!)
It sounds like you are worried that something in your life will be boring and less "appetizing" then you would like it to be. This could be related to your job search. Eating at McDonald's could represent the choices in people's lifes (menu=choices.) You are comparing the choices you've made, or will make, in life with the choices of other people.
I like the part about choices. I do often feel that other people have made wiser or better choices than I. I also eat more junk food than I should. I am puzzled as to why the healthy choices I wanted turned out to be gross. It could be because I fear that my life choices will not be to my liking. If the dream had gone on further, I probably would have gone back to the cook and demanded better food, or I would have left that restuarant for something better! Thanks for the reply.
Happy to help Are you a lucid dreamer? Could you have made the food better in your dream if you had thought about it? Just curious.
The few times I have had a lucid dream, it was before awaking in the morning and it was by accident, not intentional. Funny thing is, half the time I am unable to control the situation even when I am lucid.
