Stacie was my good friend who died some years ago. This dream I had about her, while I was at the beach a year or two after she passed away. As I dreamed I suddenly came upon Stacie, who was as shocked and happy to see me as I was to see her. I told her how glad I was that she had survived death, and I kissed her all over her face. There was nothing to hold me back now. She smiled and told me to wait a few minutes and she left me, and when she returned she had with her...her boyfriend and a good looking girl who was to be my date. All of them were quite dead. We all had a nice meal at a small restaurant, and we talked and then we all saw a movie and then it was time to go home. I walked them a couple blocks to where the street ended in a barricade of buildings with bricked up windows that looked very much like the old Berlin Wall of Cold War days. Stace whispered to me that my date wanted me to kiss her, and I wanted to, but in my sleep I knew that I should not do that, so I didn't. Then they glided over the Wall, and were gone. I climbed to the top of it, but when I looked over the side...I was shocked to see that the other side was much further down than my side. I was afraid that I would fall. There were buildings and streets down there also. It was the City of the Dead. My reaction to this dream was not horror, but I was sort of happy to have some friends on the other side. Then I awoke.
It's common to dream about dead people long after they have gone. Something in your life happens which unconsciously reminds you of them. Dreaming about dead people can also mean that you have been unconsciously thinking about death and your own mortality. Death can also stand for change. So a city of dead people can stand for an old phase in your life that you are moving away from. The fact that you didn't kiss the dead girlfriend is a sign that you know that the word of the dead (the past) isn't where you belong. Your feeling good in the dream is a sign that you have a positive attitude in waking life.
