In a dream from the other day, I was walking past an old, hollow oak stump located in my backyard. I could hear what sounded like animals peeping from within this stump. There was a hole on one side of the stump and when I looked inside I saw a large number of baby squirrels rolling around and chirping. I became very excited and ran quickly inside to grab my camera. When I made it back outside, I saw a flock of about 5 or 6 large ugly crows on top of the stump. These birds were fiercely pecking at the stump and one of the crows had fur in his beak indicating that he was killing the baby squirrels. My feeling at the moment was not anger, but helplessness, so I just stood there watching in disbelief.

I have been going through a rough time as of late. During such times, I'll have dreams that have a negative component, such as a storm or a bomb, but by the end of the dream I'll be saved and come out unharmed. This dream goes against my usual dream pattern by not having a positive ending. I'm a little nervous. Could this dream be a bad omen?

Unlike other dreams, this one does not end good. That being said, think about what the squirrels mean to you. How would you describe them, or squirrels in general. Do you find them cute but vulnerable to predators? Do you ever feel this way?

Crows are often associated in pop culture with the devil. As you say, a bad omen. They peck and claw and go for soft tissue. Have you recently found yourself in a vulnerable position in which you were at the bottom of the pecking order so to speak, and if so, how did you handle it?
