I was playing pretend/role playing as a forest person from medieval tmes with my friend (whom I have known for about ten years) but then it turned into something more real. We walked up this dirt path in the woods and stopped for a second as a black wolf came up to us. I picked up a small stick and threw it to scare the wolf away but then he tried to attack us. He went after me and I freaked out for a second, then he went after my friend, who tried to run and I was like "No! Do NOT run. Stay where you are." So, the wolf came back to attacking me and pulling on my coat with his teeth, and I remember avoiding eye contact until he let go and backed off. And then he was suddenly our friend and was leading us down the path to a river, where he eventually jumped in and was being carried down the river and in trouble. I kept running after him, trying to find a way to pull him out. Then the river carries him to a pool and it becomes more familiar. Its like we're suddenly out of this playing pretend thing and I see my car outside a gate, which is a pale yellow Chevy Blazer and I realize that we are back where we started. The river turns into a three part pool and Bethany and I decide to go run and jump in it. I remember staying underwater for a long time, and I try to come up for air and can't move, then I try again the second time and I can.
Hello Reject. I am of course, referring to your username. Anyway, the black wolf could represent an old habit or instinct. Is there something in your personal life that is weighing you down? Do you have anger issues? The part where the wolf becomes tame and lead you in the river could indicate that you feel secure in your old habit but you know there is an emotional price to pay. Rivers and water in general are usually a symbol for the emotions.
