11-24-07 I'm in a strange house and its around Christmas time. Everyone is receiving huge packages this year of electronic equipment. One of the biggest packages is of a sound system with huge speakers and woofers and tweeters. The gift is meant for my sister, but for some reason I end up opening it--in the bathroom. The next thing I know I'm twirling around in my underwear like a teen-ager, dancing to the theme from S.W.A.T. I look in the mirror and see what I think is the word "want" but it looks like the logo for the band Nine Inch Nails with one N backwards with a T at the end. I'm sitting on the flush as I look at this. end
I never saw that show before, looks pretty cool though. I had a dream the other night that my friend Phil was turned into Gemini Man, another American TV show form the 70s that I used to watch. Anyway, I'm not sure if you mentioned your sister before on here? Do you get along with her quite well? I wondered if it might be something to do with listening, like you want her to listen to you, or you want other people to listen to you like they listen to your sister?
Gemini Man eh? I wonder whatever happened to Ben Murphy? Anyway, I have two sisters and it was the older sister whose speakers I took, but it's actually the younger sister whom I didn't get along with when we were younger. Both sisters are moody and at times cynical, but I get along with both of them now. My older sister "takes care of things" in the family during crisis and family emergencies. Both my sisters don't mind driving in the city and are good with finding their way around. I have a tendency to get lost and turned around easily in unfamiliar territory so we, my mother and I, depend on them for travel long distances. Right now, my dad's in a city hospital 100 miles away and the sisters take both of us to visit. The younger one lives closer to the hospital. I had the dream after spending part of the day with my younger sister at the hospital and at home when she brought us back to town. We stopped at our mother's and had hamburgers and she said I overcooked them. So I think you were in the right ballpark Mal.
I'd forgotten all about Gemini Man until I had that dream, I really want to watch it again now! I've looked for DVDs on Amazon and eBay but I can't find any.
I don't remember Gemini Man at all. Was it on for long? Was it very popular? (I'm not particularly fond of that genre, so it might have passed me by.)
I don't know if it was popular or not, I was only about 7 years old, but I remember that I liked it a lot. I guess it was on a par, and pretty much the same, as The Bionic Woman, The Six Million Dollar Man and that kind of thing. The star of Gemini Man went on to do Alias Smith and Jones, which my young boy's brain found difficult to cope with as he had no magic powers in that.
Ah yeah, that's right. I remember that show much more than Gemini Man. I had a crush on Pete Duel. I was crushed when he blew himself away with a revolver.
I must have it the wrong way around then, Ben Murphy must have done Alias Smith and Jones first. I never heard of that site before either, it's funny the ideas people come up with for websites.
