10-7-13 I'm in a parking lot and I see a marquee that lists movies playing. I know that I'm assigned to do a research paper for a class I'm taking (not in reality). One of the movies is "Sophie's Choice." I thought I could go see it because it would be a good addition to my research (I was doing a paper on the rise of the third reich). A man hands me some money to go see it. The money is like silver slugs (coin type things). I take them to the "theater." I walk in and see tables like a crowded diner and the movie will be played on these big tv-type consoles with headphones to wear as you watch. I ask someone where do we pay. I'm lead to a table that has boxes with these slug-like coins and tickets. I purchase a ticket and sit at a table that sits down in a pit and the tv box thing is sitting up high and I have to strain my neck over a railing to see it. The movie starts and stops just as quickly and I look around and after a while ask someone why the movie has stopped. A woman points to another one and says she isn't ready to view it yet, not until she finishes her task. I wonder around a buy some popcorn and go back to the table. The movie still isn't playing and I get exasperated and demand my "money" back. The ticket holder gives my refund gladly. I walk on and end up at a place like a mall. I'm with a young reporter who finds Senator Bernie Sanders walking along. He runs up to him to ask him some questions. Apparently, the questions are to do with a scandal that Sanders is rumored to be involved in and Sanders is having none of it. He runs off and slips on the floor where someone has apparently spilled a drink with ice. He is knocked semi-unconscious and dial 911 on my phone and see a message pop up on the viewer. It's a question about wanting to do something and I delete it thinking it's spam. As we wait for an ambulance, an announcer comes on the PA system and says that help arriving will be delayed because someone deliberately canceled the procedure. I feel mortified thinking I may have been the one who canceled it without realizing what it was. End I had this dream after having gone back to sleep in the wee hours of the morning. It was a rough night because I caught a bout of the flu and feel like crap. I also feel the part about the woman finishing her task before we can watch the movie may be related to the government shutdown here in the states. A band of asshole congressman (and women) refuse to vote on a budget bill purely for ideological reasons that aren't grounded in reality.
Interesting. I associate malls with consumerism and crowds, neither of which I care for. The "theater" was crowded too which people and junk. There has been some minor crowds at the Washington monument where politicians and political figures used military veterans as props for their propaganda. There's a lot of symbolism here, no doubt. Sen. Sanders represents the people and it's the "people" that are being knocked down by the cronies in Washington.
