I am walking with the man I am dating through a well kept, beautiful park. Suddenly, in the distance, the trees catch fire. There is no smoke, but bright flames. Bright and colorful birds are flying and people start to run. The man takes my hand and tells me to follow. We run towards a large, dark pond surrounded by trees, and jump in. The birds follow us into the pond. I follow him deeper and deeper and he leads me to a secret place at the bottom, a sanctuary. Suddenly we emerge, and we are now in a sunny peach orchard. The trees are full and the peaches are red and ripe. We pick the peaches and then roll around kissing, and eating peaches.

I very rarely remember my dreams and even more rarely dream of real people. This seems significant to me....any takes???

    Hi and Welcome.

It does seem like a big dream to me as well. It has a mythical quality to it, almost biblical. Are you a spiritual person by nature? Do you follow a particular belief system?

The trees that burn with no smoke remind me of the biblical story of Moses and the burning bush. God appears to Moses as this apparition. The part where your boyfriend says to take his hand and follow reminds me of biblical passages about Jesus. The part about going into the water and coming out into a beautiful "heaven" type place reminds me of the biblical stories of Moses leading his tribe through the wilderness and Jesus talking about being "born again" or rebirth.

The part where you and he pick the fruit and eat it remind me of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

Therefore, I think the dream is part wish fullfillment and part spiritual rebirth. You long for a more utopian existence far from the restraints of daily life and family obligations and perhaps feel a bit guilty about it.

You are also seeking spiritual answers for yourself.

a good guess, except for one thing

Although i'm fascinated by religion, I am actually a complete and total athiest. My boyfriend, on the other hand, is not religious, but is also from the middle east....so if he were he would be muslim. Hmmm.....Interesting perspective though.
