The setting was a mixture of my old and current job. I'm back working in the wood mill while also working at my current occupation as a teachers aide. I remember walking up floors to get to my destination (the mill had four floors with two sets of stairs for each floor) and I'm going through departments and through clouds of wood dust and workers at machines to get to my destination. I finally arrive in a room that looks like a break room and the student I work with at school is there and he's just written a humorous story that an expert in child psychology is trying to analyze.

The story he has written is related to what I do next. I go to a room with a huge window that also acts like a skylight. It's almost dark and I lie down and watch the sky as a bucket shaped UFO has sparks and fire blazing from it as rows of colored lights that remind me of holiday decorations blink in succession.

Then suddenly the bucket shrinks and collapses as if being flattened and black smoke and flames billow out of it.

Then the scene changes and I'm recalling a comedy routine I saw by Sam Kinison to my mother and sister. Weird thing is, I'm mouthing the words but I'm hardly making a sound. It's right before waking up.

Well obviously the UFO interested me, the description reminded me a bit of those really old Flash Gordon TV shows, in black and white where the space ships had sparks coming out at the back.

I had to look up Sam Kinison to see who he is, or was, and found this site: Sam Kinison Official Web Site , which I'll have a look at later. :)

    Bucket Shaped UFO's

"Hopper's" at wood mills look a lot like buckets, or cement rotating contaners. Did you ever have any fires at the mill you worked at? Any size fire? Anyone at the mill or your current job remind you of Sam Kenison......loud, obnoxious, long hair, disrespectful to women, etc...?

Now that you mention it Chris, the UFO bucket was shaped like the hoppers where I worked. We never had a fire there, the place closed down last year and the jobs went overseas---like most manufacturing jobs in the U.S.

Funny thing, I've worked with women in the mills that were like Kinison. I watched a video on You Tube recently that was an exerpt of one of Sam's stand-up routines, so that may have inspired that bit of the dream.

Hoped I could help. Hoppers were the first thing that popped into my head when reading your post. I worked in mills a few years too. You say the place closed suddenly and everyone lost their jobs.....thus the sudden collapsing of the UFO Bucket, smoke and flames??? LOL when you mention women who remind you of Sam K.. that's hilarious. Would't want to meet them thank you. What about the kid at school you work with? Sam K. type?

The student I work with is not like Kinison. Imagine a 17 year old with a mental maturity of age 10 and that's the student I work with. He has a form of autism that allows him to be amoung his peers, but he couldn't do the work on his own. Left to his own, he'd mill about the school all day pestering everyone else and not doing any work. But he does have an active imagination and writes stories, just like he was doing in the dream.

I suppose the description of my student's maturity level would in a way fit Kinison as well. :stooges:

I can fully relate to the description of your student you are referring to. My 8 yr old son was diagnosed Autistic at age 2. He was very high functioning and most likely would have been "mainstreamed" this year. However he was diagnosed with a Medulloblastoma brain tumor Oct 13, 2006, and has been batteling cancer all year. He is still going stron with one more cycle of chemo to go in January. What a roller coaster year for all of my family. I sure don't need any sympathy from anyone on this topic, but prayers and sending of good positive Karma our way is greatly appreciated.
