This was strange. Don't have a clue, so here it is:

I have big black beetles on my left upper arm. To remove them requires a vaccination and I get one.

funny thing though, I was not freaked out by them and they covered my entire upper arm. The rest of the dream has faded from memory, but I remember those beetles.

I'm thinking that the left side is associated with the heart. A sign of a heart attack is pain in your left arm. Heart = love, relationships.

I considered the left side too as being the heart side, but nothing resonates. I'm thinking it may have been the way I was laying in bed. Sometimes I wake up with one of my arms all numb and tingly from lack of circulation. So until something else jogs my memory about the dream, I'm going with that.

I guess the pins and needles feeling could be interpreted as bugs crawling all over you. Why do you think you needed an injection?

The black beetles would represent an emotional aspect of yourself reflecting a very negative feeling. This idea is confirmed as there seem to be several beetles involved, indicating that this feeling cannot be seen as a positive one.

As they are insects, this can be a feeling with which you are “bugging” or annoying yourself. Because the beetles are on an arm, the feeling that is bugging you would appear to relate to a situation in which you could be “up in arms” – angry or very concerned. When trying to hear the Lord’s guidance in dreams, it is best to regard the two sides (left and right) as referring to God’s side (the right side) and Satan’s/the human ego’s side (the left side) What is on the left side is thus ‘in the wrong’. Thus in your scene, where you might be up in arms, the feeling you are bugging yourself with is seen as both negative (black beetles) and wrong (on the left). An up in arms issue is also in the wrong (the left arm).

To dislodge this feeling that is bugging you, you require a vaccination. A vaccination usually involves an injection with a needle, and suggests that you may need to get “a point”, i.e. need to understand the logic or reasoning involved in a situation. Getting the point here seems to require being given some idea, as a vaccination usually adds some substance to the body.

[Are you possibly bugging yourself about the numb and tingly sensation in an arm? Numb and tingly describes a ‘pins and needles’ sensation which can be interpreted as some anxiety. Could some anxiety relate to a situation in which you might be up in arms? ]

Anxiety, as pertaining to pins and needles, certainly resonates. I need to "inject" some reasoning, confidence, and calmness into myself.

Last night I dreamt that I had black flies on my arms, legs, and chest. They were biting and I was red around where they were and from the bites. What caused it is kinda fuzzy, but apparently Steve Jobs had unleashed some kind of toxin in the air after demonstrating a new tech toy. That's when I got affected with flies. When I woke up, I was in the process of slowly picking them off and cleaning the wounds.

Weird, I know. I watched a segment on 60 Minutes about the late Steve Jobs that night and it's been unusually warm here for this time of year and we've had a lot of big black houseflies. These things may have sparked the dream.
