Ok, last night I had a disturbing dream. The first part was with my brother and we were being chased by someone who was shooting at me (outdoors in a neighborhood and it was night time). I was able to see the bullets and dodge them tho. Then I had a gun, but when I shot at him, the bullets were affected by wind or something and never even got close. I woke up and rolled over... Next, I was dreaming about watching a man get shot (by a drive-by shooter) and then runned over (it was awful). Next, I am riding in the car with the shooters (I'm in the middle of the front seat with my arms crossed so I'm not touching them). We get pulled over and I'm arrested. I talked my way out of it, and they let me go. Then, I am still with the same shooter and now we are at his house. He is gets into a fight with his brother, but the brother is older and could easy beat him up, but just kind of wrestles with him. The younger brother get frustrated and pulls out a gun and shoots his older brother. I scream "no" and go towards him and he shoots me in the head. I knew I wasn't dead, but I layed there a few moments and then woke myself up. This entire series of dreams has freaked me out. Any thoughts?
Before anybody asks, I did not have the tv on this morning and had no idea about the shootings at VA Tech. Now I'm even more disturbed. I don't dream about guns ever and then last night, I dreamt about several people getting shot, including myself.
Freaky. The question about Virginia Tech would have been the first thing I'd ask otherwise. When the bullet hit you in the head, did you wake up with a headache? Sometimes dreams depicting physical violence could represent soemthing physical happening to you in reality. For example, I once dreamed about spiders and worms crawling on my and getting under my skin. I came down with a virus. Here's what the site's dictionary says about guns: https://www.dreaming.life/g-dreams/gun-dream-meanings.htm The gun in your dream could represent several different things, so please pay attention to the details and to the mood of the dream. The gun could symbolise the male sex organ, aggression, harshness, and fear. This dream may have sexual connotations, or your unconscious mind may be telling you not to harbour your negative feelings but express them more freely before they become explosive. On the more positive side of things, the gun could simply represent your need to protect yourself either emotionally or physically or both. If the gun in the dream is used to hurt or kill you or someone else, please consider your current difficulties, hostile feelings or serious arguments, which you may have within yourself or with others.
You also play the part of the observer, one who takes a passive role in the dream. Does this sound like a current situation you are in?
At work, people are always asking me about stuff. Asking my opinion on all kinds of stuff, not just work related. I'm kind of an observer there. The higher-ups at work are always wanting me to be a supervisor, but I won't do it. I don't like the way they treat supervisors and I don't think it's worth it. Remember in the first part, I was being hunted in a way. I think I eventually frustrated him and he left me alone tho, or I went into another part of the dream.
