Lately I have been having dreams with animals in them, there are 2 that have stuck with me for a bit and I was wondering if anyone has any idea what they could mean. Dream #1- 3 horses from my past in the same field, 1 of these horses died 2 months ago. 1 was given away nearly 2 years ago and the last was sold a year ago. I never owned any of them. In my dreams they are all there, and have the same personalities I remember, and these horses were all in my life around the same time. The mare that died, disappeared suddenly and in her place is the mare that was given to my family on the day of her death. And the 2 other mares leave me too. Then I wake up. I really don't know what it could mean and it confuses me alot. Dream #2- I am in the field outside of my house with our oldest dog. A wolf jumps over the bales of hay in the field and attacks us. The night I had that dream, my friend was outside and a wolf was following him around. Is it possible it is a connection with the fear he felt? Or could it mean something different? Any help I would really appreciate, I think dreams are important to understand and when things happen I like to feel a bit of understanding.
It seems that the dream about the horses has to death with death, loss or change. Is something changing in your life (could be good or bad)? Horses are used as a means of transportation, so the dream could have to do with your journey through life. A dog is a domesticated wolf, so the wolf attacking your dog could have to do with a fear of letting your instincts get out of control or not being able to control repressed thoughts or emotions. The dream about the wolf following your friend could have a similar meaning. Here is more info on animals in dreams.
Thank you very much Marcia I often have horses in my dream but that one came around the time I acutally bonded with Fanta. Thank you And the wolf following my friend was actually in real life and not in a dream, which makes me question it a bit more. Thank you so much for your help.
Well, since horses seems to be a big part of your life, it makes sense that your unconscious would use them as symbols in your dreams. Did your friend tell you that the wolf was following him before you had the dream about the wolf? Then, the dream could have just been a genuine fear of a wolf attacking, or it could be the dream using a wolf as a symbol because wolves were on your mind.
