I hope someone can help me interpret this dream. I don't usually remember my dreams at all, but this nightmare I had while napping today is really bothering me and I have a feeling that it means something.

I was visiting my mom and we were hanging out when one of her friends came over with her two daughters. This woman didn’t have a lot of money and looked “rough.” Her daughters were much the same. Both daughters were younger than I am (I am 22), the oldest by about two years (we’ll call her Destiny) and the youngest by about six years (we’ll call her Angel). The woman (we’ll call her Heaven) needed to run an errand and asked if I wanted to come and keep her daughters company. She went downstairs and the daughters went with her. I didn’t really want to go since I hadn’t met them before that day, but my mom convinced me to anyway. I got in Heaven’s older model white car and we all left. She took us to a bad part of town and the daughters asked to be dropped off, so she let them out on the street and I went with them. As we walked along, we met a few of their female friends. Everyone was nice enough, but some people were teasing me for being “uppity.” As we walked, I noticed more and more that we weren’t in a nice place, but I thought it would be okay because it was daylight. As dusk approached, the girls noticed one of the strangers’ ex-boyfriend with some friends near a house. Destiny started yelling at him and trash-talking to him. He came over and grabbed her arm, and one of his friends grabbed the ex-girlfriend. Angel and one of the other girls grabbed me and hurried me over to a hidden spot, on an outdoor staircase, and told me to be quiet. She started yelling too, but he screamed at her to shut up and she did. Then he turned to Destiny and started yelling at her, saying horrible things and calling her names. She kept talking back, even though one of his friends had her by the arm. Then, the ex-boyfriend (who we’ll call Shaun) punched her in the face – hard. She whimpered, but then kept screaming at him. Then, after they argued some more, he punched her again. She finally stopped talking, and then he turned around and kissed her. He kept kissing her and I was shocked because his ex-girlfriend was standing right there and because he had just been hitting her in the face. The ex-girlfriend didn’t say anything and I didn’t understand why she wasn’t upset. Shaun told his friend to let the other girl go and then he and his friends started walking with us. We sat outside of a seedy diner for awhile, and they kept talking to me, but I said as little as possible because I was upset and scared. I texted my mom and told her that I was scared and I wanted her to come and get me. We argued via text for awhile, but eventually she agreed and I told her where we were. At some point, I realized that I had my dog with me. Everyone thought she was cute and they kept asking to hold her. When one guy kept insisting, I let him hold her because I didn’t want him to start something with me. We walked to a house and on the way I kept trying to pay attention to the signs so I could tell my mom where I was, but I was having trouble keeping track. We all went inside and sat on the couch (by now it was dark). When my dog started whimpering, I took her back and told the guy holding her that he was hurting her. Destiny had disappeared by then, and it was just me, Angel, Shaun and two other guys. Shaun kept coming on to me, asking me to have sex with him, but I kept refusing. Then Angel came over and sat really close to me, putting her arms around me. I thought it was because she was scared, so I didn’t stop her. I continued texting my mom, and she told me she had forgotten to come and get me and that I’d be fine and just to wait for Heaven to get back. Then, she started rubbing my crotch over my jeans. I kept moving her hand, but she kept going. When I was opening my mouth to ask why she was doing that and to tell her to stop, Shaun came over and told me to go into a bedroom, which I could see through a crack in the door. There was nothing in the room except a dirty mattress with no sheets or blankets and an overhead light. I told him I didn’t want to go in there, but he told me that he would hurt and/or kill my dog if I didn’t do it. I hugged my dog to my chest and didn’t get up, but I was really afraid. Then I woke up.

Do you already have an idea of what you think the dram might mean?

The parts about you being in a rough area with rough women and being teased about being "uppity" -could that have to do with you feeling that you are out place. It could also have to do with you feeling that a part of you is "dirty" or shameful, and that you should be better than that.

Shaun kissing Destiny after he punches her and the ex-girlfriend not saying anything could have to do with someone being hypocritical or you feeling that someone has done something wrong but isn't being punished for it.

The dog could represent something that is innocent and faithful, as well as something that could protect you or that needs you to take care of it.

Do the parts about both Shaun and Angel trying to have sex with you relate to anything that is going on in your waking life? The part about them trying to have sex to you when you don't want it could have something to do with the amount of control you have over something in your life.
