My best friend past about 3 1/2 years ago. she was 17 and would be turning 20 next month. when she was still here we were inseprable! i have had a very hard time dealing with her death. It gets eaiser throught the years but its still in the back of my mind. about a week ago she came to me while i was sleeping. the dream went on for a while i would wake up and fall back asleep and she would be there again it happend 3 times! i remember i was telling her oh my god i cant belive your back. i missed you so much. when she replide with what do you mean im back? i was really getting excited. because she was acting like i was crazy to think she was dead! i said to her i cant belive they all told me you died when i said that she laughed! i snapped back in defense for dont laugh its not funny its still freash!...... DOES ANYBODY KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS?????????? does it mean she wants me to move and be happy when i think of it or something????? someone please respond.... :cry: [/b]
I think you maybe answered your own question; she wants you to move on and be happy, or your unconscious is using her image (and attached emotions) to tell you that that's what she would say... you already know that I think. I do think that people who've passed on can actually appear in dreams, it's happened to me a few times and I know it was real. Moving on and being happy isn't the same as forgetting and, once you do reach a kind of happy place with this, you'll be able to reflect more on the nice times you had instead of the loss.

I had a close childhood friend die when she was 15. I dreamt about her for months. The dreams were always the same she was happy and alive, everything was normal. At the end of the dream, I would always realize that she was really dead. She would then disappear and I would wake up. I also had an extremely hard time dealing with her death. I think it effected so strongly because it was the first time I had to face my own mortality. Death was always something far removed. It was for the elderly and sick, not for someone jus like me. Since a few years have passed since your friend died, you may have dreamed about her now because you subconsciously have a fear of forgetting her. You will never forget her. Thirty four years later, I still think fondly about my friend. Best wishes
Dreaming Amber, I didn't understand why she was laughing. Because you thought she was dead and came back? Did she mean she wasn't really dead? Or that she didn't really come back? I think it may be sort of a conflicted wish-fulfillment type thing. On the one hand, you miss her and want her back. On the other hand, part of you might think that her death may have been for the best. When I dream about dead people, even people that I cared for very much, I'm never happy to see them. It always bothers me to see them alive, when I know they're supposed to be dead. It feels as though something isn't right. Perhaps it's just a lucid dreaming thing.
Brandy was my best friend in the whole world! I love seeing here it makes me very happy for a long time i had not dreamed of her but she came when she knew i was ready. Thank you all for halping me figure this all out and im very thankfull! well i gotta run but will post back soon. :lol:
I know what you mean I keep having dreams about some people that I know and are dead. Your friend is probaly telling you that she is all right and that she will always be with you.
