6-27-08 It's the last day of school and I realize that my student needs to pass in two more homework assignments in order to complete the year. I remember I have them in my yellow folder and go to retrieve them from my car as he works on a color poster during study hall. Now the "fun" begins. I can't remember where I parked my car so I exit through a door into one parking area and enter another way after not finding my car. I walk through a gym that is being renovated and there are slabs of plywood and plaster everywhere. I walk down a hallway and its raining (inside). Students go through holding their jackets over their heads or just running through. I leave that section and head up a flight of stairs. I don't know where I am. I think if I walk straight to the end maybe I'll recognize where I am. No such luck! Now I'm wondering through a hallway with classrooms I don't recognize, but this part reminds me of my old high school. I walk down some more stairs and enter a cafeteria. I walk through and end up in another gym where a class is taking place. I exit only to enter another raining hallway! I finally end up at a place with large windows and a woman standing at a desk wearing an orange vest, much like one would wear while directing traffic. I ask "Where's the special ed. department?" She points, "It's that way." I exit through two big double doors which lead to the upstairs offices of my workplace. Only now it has been hours since I left to find my car and workbag and everyone has left for the summer. A tall man with white hair appears and tells me he knows a great place that makes the best Burritos. Seeing how I'm not into Mexican food, I decline the offer. end
