I always have very vivid , movie like dreams. Last week I had a dream in which I looked into the sky and there were 2 full moons. I do not remember what the context was, but when I woke up I was intrigued by the 2 moons and am curious if anyone knows what this might mean?

Interesting. I believe someone else on the message board had a dream about 2 full moons recently.

The moons is a symbol of change (because of the way the moon appears to change over the month), so the two moons could have to do with changes in your life or your personality (two different sides of yourself).

Full moons could have to do with fullness, richness, abundance, fertility, etc.

When we look at a dream symbol – especially one reflecting an aspect of Nature – and see it in terms of the function for which God intended it, we are more likely to hear His message through the dream. The moon has a function of providing us with light. Thus the moon will represent simply a source of light – meaning a source of knowledge and intelligence. The only problem with the moon and its light is that it is a vastly inferior source of light in comparison with the sun (which is a symbol of God). The moon’s light is what Scripture calls the “light that is but darkness”, because while you have some light you are still really in the dark of the night. Note that by mentioning “full moons”, the issue of light giving is emphasized.

The 2 moons indicate a negative and wrong source of light and knowledge. As you are looking up into the sky, the idea here is that you are giving honour and respect to a negative source of knowledge or intelligence. Looking up could also imply that you might see things as “looking up” – getting better, more optimistic for you in a situation in which you have become aware of what is actually a wrong source of knowledge.

The moon can also be understood to represent a celestial being who is regarded as a source of knowledge. The round shape would indicate a female. The moon can often reflect the idea of the “goddess”. Here, of course, the indication would be that such an idea is wrong mainly because one is honouring a lesser god, one of very limited light.

The moon can represent someone you look up to – usually a female – whose knowledge (or wisdom?) seems impressive in the absence of any real knowledge. Yet here because of the 2 moons, it is likely to be a male (husband/sexual partner) whose knowledge seems impressive but is very emotional in nature - lacking in logic.
