I'm going to let everyone know ahead of time, this dream does have some mature elements in it, and isn't exactly for those with a weak stomache(however, it doesn't get that way until near the end of the dream).

I have had this dream twice before, first when I was five, and second when I was fifteen. They both differed slightly, but I'll stick to what it was this time.

The dream begins with me running through a labyrinth(It's in the 1st person), running from something. I don't know what it is, I can't see it, but I can hear it. It lets out a shrieking howl like that of a banshee with strep throat. It seems to chase me for fun, toying with me, enjoying my fear, driving me to several dead ends, then leavs me alone until I gather up the courage to start exploring again, trying to find my way out. Several times, I get small glimpses of it, a blurred vision of it passing from one corrodor to another out of the corner of my eye, as if it's herding me like a sheepdog. After about twenty minutes, it drives me to a dead end where it finally shows itself. It's about seven feet tall, has jet black skin, elven-like ears(pointy and kind of long), long, spindly fingers(each is about seven or eight inches long, all the joints double jointed, and ends in a pale-coloured talon, about two inches long), and it's arms are about four feet long. When ever it's running, it runs like a gorrila, on it's fists, but when it wants to go fast, it curls them around it's body and sprints, and it never runs out of energy. It has no eyes, and the only sign of a nose it two small(about 1/4 inch) slits in the middle of it's head. The dominating feature of it's face is it's mouth, about six inches across, filled with jagged, razor-like teeth in several rows(think a shark's jaws, as if one row is waiting to come forward, sitting behind the other). It's tongue, when fully extended from it's mouth, is about two feet long, and ends in ten tentacle-like appendages, each about four inches long, prehensile, and ending in a leech-like mouth. It is also unisex, having no reproductive organs. As I stand paralyzed with fear, it seems to walk in slow circles around me, as if examining me(I know, it's crazy cause it's got no eyes). After a few minutes of this, it lopes over to me and picks me up., it's finger's seeming to wrap all the way around me, the talons digging into my sides. After what seems like it's convinced it has a good grip on me, it begins to run, at which point I slam my eyes shut. It runs with my eyes closed, all I can feel is the air rushing past me as it sprints. After about twenty minutes of it running, I am hit by a blast of freezing cold air, at which point I open my eyes to find myself alone in an empty room. It has white, nondescipt walls. As I walk around, trying to warm up, a door open in one of the walls, sliding up into the wall itself. Shrugging, I walk over to it and step inside, only to find myself falling. Looking up, the door is gone, and I find myself falling in complete darkness, so dark, I can't even see my hand when it's two inches from my face. Suddenly, I'm no longer falling, and I'm sitting in family den in the first house I ever lived in. There, sitting in my father's old chair, is the creature, drumming it's fingers to my breath, which at this point is very fast. It just seems to listen to me as I look around the room. After a little bit, I walk over to it and crawl up into it's lap, wrapping my arms around it's broad torso. Growling, it takes my arms and shoves me away, me falling to the floor(I'm in the body of myself as a 5 year old at this point). Standing, I walk away, through the house, trying to see if I'm still dreaming(I clearly and lucidly know that this is a dream the whole time, by the way), or if I've woken up from sleepwalking. Eventually finding myself at the front door, I open it to see the neighborhood on fire. Every building is aflame, with all the bodies of my neighbors scattered around the cudesac that I lived in, in various states of dismemberment. A few of them are still slightly alive, one of them, my old and very close friend, is torn in half. Him crying as he mutters, "Gotta get up... Gotta go... Getta get out of here...", as he tries to put himself back together, unsuccesfully, which only makes his cry harder, screaming every now and then. Looking up, I see the creature run out of one of the houses with my little sister grasped in one hand like it had me. As I stand there, unable to move, I watch it as it runs off with her, here eyes tightly closed, her sobbing and screaming for help. After I can no longer see or hear them, I run after them. The streets repeat, the same streets I run on over and over, me running around, as if the streets have formed a kind of flaming labyrinth.

Warning, this is where it gets to the blood and guts of the dream. Do not read on it you can't handle it.

After about two hours of this, I find myself in the same culdesac that my house is in, and bump into the creature, me falling on my butt. It seems to leer at me with a grin on it's face, purposely showing all of it's teeth, as if trying to frighten me further. Leaning over me, it grabs me by my waist and lifts me up, it's other hand wrapping around my left arm. Lifting it so it's perpendicular with my shoulder, it starts to pull, at first with very little strength and pressure, and it eventually starts pulling harder and harder as I start wimpering and crying. I let out a scream as it yanks, pulling my arm out of my shoulder socket. Smiling, it lets my arm go and does the same thing with my right arm, rendering both of them useless. It them starts twisting my arms around, giving me immense pain. After a while, it seems to tire of this and puts me down, grabbing both of my arms and yanking as hard as it can(I could tell from the grunt it made) and pulling my arms off my body, which causes me to let out yet another scream. Smiling, it drops them by my body, as if it wants me to see them. Then, it does the same thing with my legs. After it finishes that, it pokes my belly with one of it's taloned fingers, cutting instantly through the skin and slashing my innards. curling it's finger around inside of my gut, it yanks, pulling the front of my stonache off, dragging my intestines out and hanging limply by it's finger. Dropping them, it bites them off, them lays them neatly out like a coiled snake, taking it's time, as if it wants to be neat about it. Reaching in again, it scrambles it's fingers around in my gut so that my innards left are pulped. Somehow, still alive, I can hear myself screaming in pain and fear, and I try to get myself to wake up, but I can't seem to. Reaching into my chest, it yanks out one lung, then the other, then my heart. Still somehow alive, I an no longer breathe, and feel like I'm going to suffocate, and yet I still live on, feeling everything as if it was real. Using it's claws, it open my mouth and cuts out my tongue, then plucks out each of my teeth, then cuts my nose off, then takes my eyes out. After that, it slashes my neck, at which point I wake up.

I don't know what it means, but according to the my mom, my family heard me screaming in my sleep, but they couldn't wake me up, even when they tried pouring ice cold water on me(I'm assuming that was the blast of cold air in the dream). I was crying and in a cold sweat when I woke up.

As I'm sure some people have had more gore in their dreams, please don't tell me that it's nothing, it's alot for someone who has a weak stomache. I almost threw up several times while writing this.

How were you feeling during the day before you had the dream (both times)? Were you feeling ill or was there anything unusual going on in your life?

I'm wondering because you said your family had a lot of trouble waking you up, if there was something else going on.

Or are you just naturally a very deep sleeper?

The creature sounds like something out of a horror movie. Could the dream have been influenced by a horror movie that you had seen?

That sounds terrible! That is such a nightmare. Have you suffered from any traumatic event where you felt helpless? It sounds to me like the theme of the dream was helplessness. (besides being horrific). You had to watch your sister be taken away by the same monster. It sounds like you feel powerless to help yourself or your sister. Do you feel that way in "real" life? I also find it odd that you could watch all this happen to yourself without being dead. It is feasibly impossible to be alive after having your intestines ripped out.
Did you have a fever or an illness that could have caused such vivid dreams? Were you on any medications? alcohol? Anything? Sometimes those things make dreams more vivid. I dunno. This dream was awful. :scared:

To answer both of your questions, I was in perfect health, yes, I'm just a deep sleeper, no, I didn't watch any horror movies before then, I don't like them, I don't drink, I wasn't on any medication, I was feeling fine the day before, and no, I didn't feel like that in real life. As for staying alive after I got myself torn to pieces, it's a dream. The laws of real life don't exactly apply to some dreams. As for the helplessness, I'm not exactly helpless. I'm 5'6, weigh close to 200 lbs, almost none of it fat, and I always try to help people when I see them in need.

According to the dream dictionary, a monster in a dream can represent a negative force in yourself or in your life.

Could there have been something negative going on in your life during those times that would have caused you to have this dream? Maybe something that you weren't consciously aware of - especially when you were only five years old.

The vividness of the dream may just mean that you are the type of person who has vivid dreams. Are your pleasant dreams very vivid? Are you a creative person in waking life? Creative people tend to have very vivid dreams.
