    will there be the same level of commitment; e-mails to remind people to play at 9 on a Monday etc?

    Is there a possibility that we are being used because game.net can't get people to turn up on their server? If it doesn't work out after a few weeks I suppose we could always restart the community game...

    Ok, preview server....... basically it is the same as a normal server, the only difference is it
    allows non-subscribers to join and shows in Gamespy, so if ppl see us on there they can join
    with no password needed.
    Should the server become full and a subscriber to Game.Net tried to join, the server will basically
    kick a non-subscriber.
    The idea is to try and coax more ppl to subscribe, if this idea works then it will be sooner rather
    than later that all the TFC servers are once again occupied.

    I think it can only be a good thing, and transferring the TFC Community game onto that
    server is just a step forward, we can still change the maps if one comes up that we dont like
    i.e CZ ZZzzzzzzzz and when we r on there, providing everyone playing has the particular
    custom map downloaded, I'm sure it would be ok to change it, dont quote me on that tho cus
    I'll hv to confirm that with Deady.

    I wouldnt say we r being used by Game.Net as it was my idea for the TFC Preview Server and
    I was the one who approached the powers that be, not the other way round.
    I will still be emailing ppl as per usual for a few weeks but after that its upto them, I also
    intend to let them know whats happening and why. This isnt intended to put ppl off, its more
    to encourage ppl to subscribe and get new players on the servers. As I said earlier if ppl see
    a few of us on there when looking for a server to play on on Gamespy, they will hopefully
    join us and we may well end up with a full server.

    If the Preview Server doesnt work then I will re-open the TFC Community Game thread and
    take us back to how we were :)

    Bottom line, dont worry, everything is still virtually the same, just different IP, no password
    needed and the possibility of more players :)

    So what are we going to call Monday nights then? It has to have a name so we can start another thread for it, a name that sounds better than GAME.NET TFC Regular Thursday Event....


    And before Yaesu pops up or Prom in a Yaesu mood,

    GAME.NET TFC Regular Monday Event doesn't sound cool. :wink:
