Daddy would you get me some bread
    10/23/2008

I was sleeping and Andrew was snuggled up next to me and he woke me up and asked “Daddy, can I have some bread?” I really did not want to wake up and get him some bread because I was sleepy but I got up anyway and went into the next room that was a grocery store.
As soon as I got up from bed, I remembered that I had some butter in my pocket. I had on a jacket with the hood over my head; it was a soft blue jacket.
I went into the store and the bread was on the far side. I walked over there and then found myself walking up and down the isles of the store. I was thinking about how a store was set up to sell things better and thought to myself that I would put an open area in the middle of the store so the women could hang out there and talk with each other and smoke. I thought that smoking was still legal in a grocery store and it must still be the 1960s
I remember saying to myself, “Putting that square in the middle of my store is the best idea I ever had” I may have thought, “The best thing I ever did” because people would spend more money there and it gave people a place to gather and “hang out”
I was going to put all the magazines around the square in the middle of the store.
I thinking of how I could sell more stuff somehow by having people that were shopping stop in the middle of the store and read magazines and talk with each other like a social place for them to gather.
I then started to think about how people that design stores put a lot of time and study into the way a store is set up to sell and magazines are always were you check out at.
I then started to make my way back to Andrew and checked the butter in my pocket but had no recollection of the bread.
I had a hard time getting threw the crowd. I was very small like a child and only came up to people’s waist.
There were two men standing and talking to each other and I had to squeeze by them and I was much shorter than them and was somewhat scared to walk by them.
I then went back to the sleeping room and had to get in a line with a bunch of people and they were all going in at once. Andrews’s bed was about halfway back.
I had to walk very fast and almost had to run just to keep up with the other kids that were walking into the room.
There was a group of older kids in front of me and one of the kids was somewhat fat and I was somewhat worried about getting into a fight with him.

History: Andrews’s bed was kind of like the one at the school he is at right now. A friend of mine once came to visit and asked me for a piece of bread. I thought that was a weird request and asked why, his friend answered “Because he’s hungry”
I believe I had a blue coat like the one in the room when I was about 3 or 4 years old and I liked the soft blue color, it had a comforting feel to the color. I used to wear my jackets when I was little by just putting the hood over my head and did not put my arms threw the sleeves.
The store had a 1960s feel to it and I felt as if smoking had just recently been banned in stores and people still did it.
When I was a child I used to wake up at night and would eat bread and butter.

    Any ideas are mush appreciated

Interesting. It reminds me of a previous dream you posted about dustpans and stop signs. You blend creative ideas with things of your past.

In this case you leave the home to get bread. I think of the phrase "home and hearth." Are you currently working on ideas to increase your income by working at home? Does your idea involve community or a place where people can gather? Do you feel your life today is more isolated and you long for more social gatherings?

This dream shows that you hide under your sometimes false comfort. You work hard to have an easy and comfortable life, but deep inside, you feel guilty worrying about not showing how much your loved ones mean to you. You thrive on helping those around you, and ideas race through your mind. but sometimes feel that this involvement stands in the way of those closest to you. You are physically and mentally exhausted. You need to take a well deserved vacation with your loved ones. You worry more about other people than you do yourself. Please, take some much needed R&R. Watch those around you. Listen to what they talk to you about. Some of your ideas from those around you will finally sink in. Your dream states that you are shorter than those around you. You may feel that your life has been very lonely at times your plans have not been accomplished...and you want that to change. You're very smart and get excited when things fall into place. You want to share that with someone, who has the same interests as you....and there's plenty of people around you who are patiently waiting.

But there's something that stops you. The fat boy gives you a sense that your accomplishments are coming to a close. It's just the opposite though....good things will come your way. Good luck
