Hi everyone. I hope someone can help me because I am starting to become afraid of sleeping. I don't even like to think about this, much less talk about it. Here goes... I have had four dreams in two weeks about my 11 year old son is about to be, or just finished being molested. In my first nightmare, I walked into a neighbors house (not my real neighbor) and my son, niece and nephew were in a bedroom. I knew in the dream that something terrible happened. In another dream a famous movie star was about to hurt him when I walked in. The weirdest dream was the 3rd one. My friend (a man) was in the car with my son when I walked up. I knew something had just happened so I broke the window and stabbed him in the neck over and over until he was dead. The one today was me finding my son walking on a major road in my town and I asked him if someone gave him money for sex. He said yes and he also told me "he made me give him a lap dance". My son barely has a grasp on sex, much less a lap dance. Someone please help me so I can get some sleep!
I did't want to be the one to scare you but in your dreams the message is quite clear that you have to watch out for your son and make sure no one is able to take advantage of him (may have to look into new faces, new routines). I don't know how you would go about making sure he's protected but the last dream indicated that it could lead to a horrible future, he may fall into some vicious cycle which nobody wants. You probably know this already.
The dream could also be a product of your fears for his safety. Did you recently see a tv show or read something about child molesters? Have you been alerted to one living in a nearby neighborhood?
Thank you for the posts. I am actually a victim of molestation (over 30 years ago), and I have been really thinking about the man because he is in the final stages of Alzheimers. My son is my only child so I do have a tendency to be overprotective. I also love to watch CSI, Dateline, and 48 Hours. Some of these shows do focus on violence. The only other reason I can think is that I am a school teacher so I have been trained to spot symptoms of molestation and abuse. I have not had any bad dreams for two nights. I don't know if it is because I have worked it out, prayed very hard or taken Tylenol PM
It seems clear that your fears and concerns are being manifested through your son in these dreams, i should think he would be fine (as long as hes under normal circumstances), just cut back on the CSI before bedtime lol.
