I work third shift so I sleep during the day I went to bed around 7 am I awoke at 10 am still thinking about this crazy dream. This dream was so vivid it was amazing.
First phase I remember my daughter at work with me (which would never happen. She's five) She was riding on a forklift with some weird man who I can not put a name to. I was ending my shift when the Human Resource lady, Anna, came to me and asked me if I could stay and work on first shift(she does not supervise ever so that was weird) I told her that the job she was asking me to do was something I was still training for. She told me to come with her and help her in her office. Now the whole entire time I was very aware of how different things were and thinking I should have been on my way home and that my shift was over. I ended up in her office( of course it wasn't really her office it was my old house where I lived 10 years ago but I didn't think about it in the dream) So there we were sitting in her "office" (it looked like my old laundry room turned into her office) and she was reading me something(I don't remember what she was reading) I was standing up over her shoulder facing a glass door wondering to myself if I would be able to smoke a cigerette. My nose started to run and I told her I had to blow my nose. So I sat down facing her in a chair and blew my nose. There was a window in back of her. I could see a really huge bridge with cars driving over it. It started to storm really bad no rain just thunder and lightening. Very stong lightening, so strong it hit something I said to her OMG I think it hit a wire. No sooner did she turn around the bridge started to crumble and fall. I kept screaming. Ran through the house where there were people sitting around watching it on TV. I was screaming OMG I kept thinking that if I had left right after my shift I could have been on that bridge. Then I woke up. I layed there remembering how vivid and strong that lightening was. It was as if the storm was real. I have never dreamed anything like that storm before and I had some really crazy dreams. It still has me shook. Can someone please help me understand it.

    Hi, and Welcome.

Sometimes vivid imagery in dreams occurs when one is overtired or sleeps in too late. The sense I get from the first part of the dream is that you are tired and want and need a rest but there are just too many obstacles and obligations for you to take a break now.

    This is interesting:
Did your very busy lifestyle actually begin 10 years ago when you lived in that house? Maybe something from that time period has come back into your world again.

The lightening strikes could represent your emotionally charged thoughts and creativity trying to break through. You've neglected them too long. You need some "me" time. Is there a project or new career you've been trying to get started on but haven't had the time? Are you looking for or anticipating some "creative spark" to help you in your career or job?

The bridge collapsing makes me think of the recent news about the bridge collapse in Minnesota. Do you see that in the news? Do you have any concerns about infrastructure, either in your community or your own home dwelling?

    Hello and thank you

You are right about a change in my life about 10 years ago. That is when I moved out of my parents house and been stuck in the same place since. I have been a mom since I had my son in '93. I stayed with his father and had another little girl. We never married but we always lived together. Which makes me think of another dream which is one reason why I stayed with their dad. Maybe you would like to hear that one. That dream gives me goose bumps just thinking about it. My life is hectic and lately I have been wanting some time to myself to think about my life and what I can do to make it easier.
About the bridge in Minnesota, Yes I have been thinking about it a lot especially since I have read that a lot of bridges in PA (where I live) are also in bad shape.(None really around my area in Lancaster County but in the Philly area) That was a horrible accident.
Thank you for your enlightenment. I really appreciate it.
