Last Thursday night while asleep next to Ric (a man a recently met) I had a dream that involved snakes in a tress.

In the centre of a square field was a tree about 2m (6'7") high and all over it's branches were snakes of all shapes and sizes. The field was fenced, and the ground was covered with dry brown grass. Ric was standing in the corner of the field.

I had a long pole with a hook on the end which I used to get the snakes out of the tree. They fell to the ground and slithered away beyond the fence. I used the pole to make sure they didn't come near Ric or me. I was not scared of them, but had to make sure they did not come near either of us. Ric did not speak to me during the dream.

Does anyone have any ideas on what this dream might mean?

    Thanks
    G

    Hi and Welcome.

I thought of Adam and Eve and the Garden of Eden. I think it's because a man and a woman are in a field with trees (like a garden) and there are snakes--unlike the one talking serpent in the bible.

Dry brown grass indicates a hot dry summer. So, perhaps this dream is about your relationship with a man (I'm assuming you are a woman) and you took the initiative in something and this event occured last summer and you are still dealing with some issues surrounding it.

I guess this because in the bible story, Eve took the initiative in eating the forbidden fruit. Does any of this resonate?

The hot dry summer makes sense, I met him on New Years Eve. Silly me didn't get his contact details so was patiently searching for him until he finally found me in mid March. We have been laughing about it a lot.

Someone I spoke to last night also made the reference to Adam and Eve and the book of Genisis. The reference was to new beginings or new life.

Further the tree is representative of me and the snakes are my past. Removing the past to make room for the new.

I know snakes can be quite complicated. Sometimes insights into what is going on in my life will help:

I am very attracted to him (physically and spiritually), and would like to persue a longer term relationship. I have recently ended a very bad/destructive relationship, and over the past 2 years have made some major changes in my life. I started a new job las week which is also a bit of a career change too.
