I had a dream a few nights ago which has really stuck with me. In the dream, my husband and I were staying in a large house with a quiet family. I do not know any of the characters in the family in real life, and my most vivid memory is of the mother, a solomn but warm woman (I actually don't think I saw the rest of family at all, but I knew they were a family). Anyway, the lady of the house finds out that we (husband and I) are not dead, unlike them, and we have to leave the house asap before the man of the house finds out and finds us.

    What could this possibly mean?!?

The dream reminds me of a film starring Nicole Kidman called, "The Others." Did you see it? Wonderful, but spooky film.

In the dream, something that is old, or "dead" to you is being left behind. Are you thinking of moving into a new house? Who does the warm and solumn woman remind you of? This could be a clue to what it is that you are leaving behind.

LOL, my husband said that it reminded him of The Others too. :)

I'm at a complete loss as to who the woman could represent, there are really no women like that in my life. There may be parts of myself that I am changing and leaving behind, and we will be changing our living situation very soon... in short, I am going through a lot of changes with myself, and things and situations are also changing in my reality (all for the better). I felt very connected to the woman in the dream, very eerie when I found out they were dead, and a little afraid of the man of the house finding out about us. I cannot shake this dream!

Other people in dreams don't always represent other people in your life, very often they can be different aspects of yourself - it's much easier for your mind to get a message across to you using the image of someone else, it would be too confusing if all the messages appeared to be coming from within you when you're dreaming.

No more scary movies before bedtime...

On a more serious note. It seems that there are parts of yourself that are changing. You are growing emotionally and spiritually and as a result there are parts of you that are dying/changing. You may feel some uncertainty about the changes taking place within yourself and in your life. Thus the fear of the man of the house.

Essentially, your dream is trying to tell you that it is time to move on. Subconsciously/Intuitively you know this already.

The solemn warm woman in your dream probably represented the parts of you that are changing.
