Okay, so last night I had this weird dream... For some reason, I found out that if you tied a sock to your waist, you can fly... So I was flying around, and then someone stole my sock! So I got a new one, and I was with this group of kids (I don't remember if any of them were friend from school) and we were going somewhere, and whenever we stopped, I would try to tie the sock back around my waist, but i never got it tied tight enough for it to work. So then somehow we got to Halloween Town from Nightmare Before Christmas, and they all sang this song that I swear I remember from the movie, but they never sing it! And then we stayed at a hotel there, and I finally got the sock to work and I told Ed (From Fullmetal Alchemist) who was in the group, and he was all like "Meh, I don't care." So I started flying around Halloween Town and then the hotel everyone else was staying at was really old, so all of the wood planks in the floor broke under the group's weight, and I woke up just before everyone fell to their deaths...

Please tell me what this means! I'm so confused. Oh, and by the way, don't try the sock thing. I already did as soon as I woke up. It doesn't work very well. :)

You mention the word alchemist in your post. When I perform alchemy on the dream between flying around with a sock, and crashing through a floor; what I get is reaching upward toward lofty, perhaps unrealistic goals and the fear of having these goals or ideals crashing, thus causing a breakdown of some kind.

Are you setting goals for yourself that are too high?

And thanks for the advice about the socks. No, I won't try it at home!

It does sound like this could have to do with fear of failure or disappointment. Only you would know if your goals are really too high, or if your fear is unreasonable.

Eh, I dunno...Fullmetal Alchemist is a TV show... My goals are too high? Well, I want to be a Jedi Knight, but that's just a joking around sorta thing... My only goals as of now are really just 'get an A in all my classes and graduate High School eventually.' Well, and I wanna go to college... Erm... I don't really know if I have any that are unreasonably high, unless its marrying Ewan McGregor......

A lot of dream work is guess work, sometimes we get it right, sometimes we don't.

You have a great sense of humor, Skywalker!

Yeah... I probably do have really high goals that I don't pay attention to and therefore don't realize I've set... Yeah, that sounds like something I'd do....... Well, thanks, you've given me something to think about, and that's always a good thing. 8)
