I look at myself when I dream (I don't dream through my own eyes) and was curious what other people experience. Also, has anyone had a dream they were someone else?
I think everyone sees themselves from the outside in dreams, it's like you are watching a movie a lot of the time; one of the best ways to get another perspective on your life is to ask someone else what they think, dreams sort of achieve this by making you look at yourself as if you were someone else, or show you how you would react if you were someone else. Also different people in dreams often reflect different aspects of yourself; so if you dream you are James Bond for instance, your thoughts are with the male aspect of you that wants to be more like however you view James Bond - perhaps adventurous, assertive, strong and able to take care of yourself etc. Where dreaming that you are one of these characters reflects your desire to be more like them in one respect or another; when these characters appear in dreams as another person talking to you, they can represent your unconscious trying to get you to see something about yourself, using this person's image to emphasise the point it is trying to make.
I wish James bOnd was in my blood...I have these chase dreams a lot, but I'm always running. My persuer and me are chasing eachother, never physically coming close. Once, I looked straight at the mans face in a television and couldn't see it. I kept rewinding (which he started to realize in the TV) and discovered he was wearing a white mask with black eyes. BUt he was looking at me through the TV so I ran! <--looks like a wiseguy...
I'll try, but I can't make any promises. Some things seem IMPOSSIBLE even when you will a change, like climbing stairs and it never ends (that didn't happen in my dream world but you know...)
I can't recall dreaming I was someone else, but I have dreamed I was myself in a different persona. I've dreamt I was a movie star, a princess in a gothic setting, and various things, but I was always "me."
