Reoccuring dream I dream I'm in this house...it's old but very beautiful, I'm amazed at the size, I'm walking through the home with someone, a man, but I don't know who he is....as I'm single and have been for 8 years. We're looking to purchase the home, and we know it needs a lot of work, but we're also amazed at that fact that every room has another door, then another door, and so on, and inside I feel so overwhelmed with excitement....the house is furnished, and I see colors, the rooms are just beautiful....period furniture and we become excited and we know this is the home for us? Who is us, and what do all these rooms in the house represent. There is even a long large garden room, very similar to a greenhouse, where I know I can finally plant to my hearts content....raising beautiful flowers and plants. There is a room set up for canning vegtables and fruit....seperate from the house, strickly used for canning, stove, large counter spaces, many shelves for storing my canned goods, large double sink....and so it goes What does all this mean.....would I enjoy being married again? Yes, but to a mature responsible easy going diverse man, who is not self imposed and is caring and considerate....who doesn't date just to get out of the house, but enjoyes his independence...he is happy with the company of himself, and to, would enjoy a lifetime companion, he is true to himself, therefore, he would be true to me? I haven't met anyone like that and have given up on dating. Perhaps this dream, is exactly that, simply a dream? Thank you for reading.
Houses in dreams nearly always represent yourself and your inner soul; I think the fact that you are dreaming about this huge house with lots of rooms means that you are a very deep person with lots of interesting facets, but your subconscious feels that your current lifestyle is not using all your complexity to its full potential. It could be suggesting that a man might help you explore these areas of yourself, it could also just as easily be that the man in your dreams represents your animus - your need to explore yourself and be more positive. click > Dream Archetypes to read about the animus.
Hello Lee. I finally found your post. You are correct, this is indeed an interesting site. May I offer an interpretation? [I knew you'd let me!] I don't know if you have ever heard of the Winchester House in California, but it is a huge mansion with many rooms. However, your dream house seems to be a bit more realistic than Mrs. Winchester's home, which was more than eclectic in nature. I think both you and I have to agree with Maljonic - you ARE a very complex person. Your poetry reveals the various levels of your inner stratosphere every time you write. I swear you keep finding planes and levels none of us could never imagine, but there you are, breathing life into them. I also see the seed for your Animus poem, as well, and if nothing else, your poem led you to that creation. Have you ever tried to "go back" into a dream? Even though it's days/weeks old? When you have a period of time when you know you don't have to get up for anything [cat, dog, doorbell, early hour] etc., I would encourage you to center back on this dream before and as you go to sleep. It would be very interesting to see where this takes you. Thank you again for the link to this site. Hugs, Sunshine
