I had this dream last week maybe on Wednesday, I can't remember all of it but I'll share what I do remember: It was dark and raining outside, it was a very dreary day. I walked through a park by my friend Lauren's house and I walked to a house that looked similar to her's. I remember creeping around the bushes outside her house (her cats live outside and I kind of reminded myself her cats). I went inside and it was dark. Inside it was similar to Lauren's house but it was this one guy Dan's house, who I've never met before but I know who he is because he's in my grade. I forget what interactions I had between Lauren and Dan but I remember them going to the other side of the room to smoke together. That's the end of my dream, but there's more to it. :wink: This actually happened, this is not a dream: On Saturday I went over to Lauren's with a couple other friends of mine. Maybe an hour into being over at Lauren's, my friend Kyle got a call from Dan, the same Dan that I dreamed about. He came over we all just talked, went to a park, came back to Lauren's house. Once we got back Lauren and him smoked together, excluding me. For the rest of the night I was with the Dan that I dreamed about, and he later walked me home. I've never talked to Dan before or really have thought about him before my dream, btw. I know my dream doesn't fit exactly into real life, but it was a very strange occurence. Was my dream maybe telling the future or just coincedence?
I don’t believe dreams usually predict the future in a magical, astrological fashion; but it is entirely possible that your unconscious mind predicted the future based on current events, in a way that you yourself might not see – for instance you’ve probably had similar evenings but not talked to this guy before, but you have unconsciously noticed him and wondered what he was like to talk to and your dreaming mind has run through some likely scenarios where this might happen – i.e. if you were to walk home together, which you did. That is often the way with dreams; your unconscious, dreaming mind will run through possible scenarios like a computer program, basing its guesses on what is happening with your life right now and often noticing details that you haven’t picked up on yet.
