A skull thought to be Mozart's may soon undergo DNA testing. Austrian archaeologists have opened a Mozart family vault and plan to carry out tests on remains of the composer's relatives to compare genetic material with a skull which is owned by the International Mozarteum Foundation. The institute is not sure just how the skull, which is believed to be the composer's, was retrieved from the pauper's grave where he was interred. The bodies retrieved from the family vault are thought to be Mozart's niece, father and grandmother. 8)
