I'd like to share some tips on dream recall. When you wake up in the morning, don't move!. Moving or sitting up will cause dreams to disappear faster. So stay very still and try to recall images, you can do this by asking mentally, 'what happened?' 'where was I', what did I do, who was I with? pause and wait. If you get some images, keep working your way backward to get more images. There is a mantra that helps to recall dreams. It is pronounced mentally when you wake up in the morning. The mantra is Raom Gaom.. pronounced Raaaaaa ooooommmmm, Gaaaaaaa Oooooommmm. here's the youtube link(is it allowed to include on this forum?) I think there are other Raom Gaom on you tube. Anyhow, as you pronounced this mantra, images will start to come back. Initially, it might take a big longer, depends on each person. The first time I used it, dream images showed up after pronouncing about 7 times. After a few months of using the mantra, I no longer needed as the mind is already trained on remembering. Awareness is alos very important during the day. As you go about your activities, it is important to focus your mind on each activity and not let the thoughts take you away. Keep bringing the mind back to each activity you're doing. Awareness of the present moment gives clearer and more vivid dreams and easier to remember them. Writing down dreams are really good too..sometimes I found that as I write, I remember more dreams. Heart0501
I think a lot of people find that once they start writing dreams down, making a dream diary, they get better at remembering their dreams day by day, even if they start off by remembering a tiny scrap, image or sound. If they make a record of it they're telling their brain that it's important to remember dreams.
