So last night I had a very vivid but short dream of which I remembered almost every aspect; this left me thinking that there may be some hidden meaning or purpose behind this dream as it really stuck out to me.

In the dream I was starring in a play (something I have never done), the play was about George Washington; however, it was the 'untold story' of George Washington of which ended in him being executed.

During the dream I was walking down an old style hallway with mirrors on along the wall, even though in my dream I knew I was playing George Washington in a play, when I looked in the mirror next to me I actually saw myself as George Washington walking to his execution.

After seeing myself in the mirror, I then walked into the room of which I was to be executed willingly but with regretful disappointment in myself. It was a large room filled with hundred of people there to watch. The dream then ended before the execution was carried out.

Does anyone have any ideas or explanations for this? I am not sure what to think of it, or if it even means anything.

For this dream, I can only provide an outline. You will have to fill in the details.

A theater/play setting may indicate your social life, but it could also mean you feel your performance is being scrutinized (as in social situations). George Washington represents an aspect of yourself, and this is where you have to determine with which characteristics of GW you identify. These are education/culturally specific, and a dream reader would have to know much more about you to determine that. Does his "honesty" resonate with you? Or is it his courage in battle? Or do you admire him for his leadership of the country? Whatever it is, these are traits you adopt in the dream.

A willing execution suggests you are making a noble sacrifice in real life. I suggest that whatever noble quality you see in GW is what allows you to make that sacrifice despite your regret. There may also be an element of desire for the fame/legend after death, as indicated by the crowd of people who will witness your martyrship.

This is a good example of a dream that is best interpreted by the dreamer. I hope my comments have helped.

    Good luck and blessings.

    Good analysis morningangel.

If it were my dream, I'd take George Washington as representing either the Enlightenment or the birth of a nation. Perhaps the dreamer feels we are living in an era where we are witnessing the death of these ideals in the Enlightenment or the constitution of the U.S.
