Last night I had a very odd dream, it seems to connect into a couple of my other dreams I have had in the past month which is part of the reason it is weird.
2 weeks ago I had a dream where my father was switching between being a human and being a wolf. He also hates both my dog and my horse if that changes the significance.

Last night I had a dream I was out with my horse in her field and our dog was tied to the tree beside the field. I look out and see a very large gray wolf in two fields over from us (fields are about 10 acres long each) all of a sudden it starts running and before I know it is in the field and attacking my horse, biting her legs and stomach. My dog somehow gets loose and starts attack the wolf, the horse kicks the wolf in the head making it yelp and flee. My dog has blood all over her and her legs are all bloody and her stomach. I start yelling for help, a young man in about early 20's runs over to me, and some other people I don't know. They tell me that the field isn't safe and I need to leave here. I hop on my horse to ride her out of he field and the man is leading my dog, all of a sudden the wolf comes back again and starts attack us again. I get pulled off my horse as she fights the wolf rearing up and landing on it, the guy tells me it is her fight and let her be. My dog gets loose again (this dog never gets loose ever, and she is a very submissive dog would never fight another) and my horse and dog kill the wolf. The people still insist I need to leave with them and take me through this weird forest, (I hate going near trees at dark) My horse and dog are still with me, I am on my horse. We get to a weird cabin with a small stable and I put the horse in it, and my dog is led into the house. We go to treat all the wounds on both of them but they are all gone.

It was an odd dream, and I am curious what possible meaning this dream could signify.

You said that in previous dreams, you dad goes back and forth from being a wolf and human. Ask yourself, what do wolves mean to me? How you describe a wolf could help you decipher the dream. For example, do you view wolves as pack animals that are loyal to its pack, or family? Do you view them as operating purely on instinct, being motivated by hunger and survival? How do you feel about the wolf in the dream?

Part of the dream is like a damsel in distress story with the hero coming to the rescue. Who does the young man in his 20's remind you of? How do you feel about him in the dream?

Your horse and dog come out of it alright. Do you worry about their well-being and safety but feel they will be alright in the end?

I have always hated and feared wolves, in my dream I just felt extreme hatred and anger very little fear.

The young guy doesn't remind me of anyone who I know, in the dream I felt a warm, safe feeling I haven't felt in a very long time. I always worry about my pets well being and I only really trust they are safe when they are within my site.

I also had a dream last night with the same young man in my dream, but there were 3 bears outside my door. Then an elephant near a waterfall and a lion in the trees, the guy was with me again but this time had a gun and was walking carefully. Eventually we reached a place with a rabbit, but the rabbit only had 3 legs.. could this have similar meaning? Sorry to be bombarding you, but the dreams have just left me feeling wierd.

Could the wolf in the previous dream by a symbol of your father, whom you said hates your pets? This could be why you fear for their safety when they are out of your sight. Do you think your father will hurt them when you're not around?

The young man who comes to the rescue could be a symbol for wanting your pets to be safe, wanting somebody there to look after them when you can't.

In the recent dream, you see all these animals, but the rabbit is the only one vulnerable, since it's missing a leg. If you had to replace the rabbit with either a pet or a person as a stand in to represent it, who would it be? This could be a clue as to the meaning of the dream.
