This takes place in a poor, Midwestern area. I'm with a group of people traveling on foot and I can see our traveling on a map, but we take routes to create pictures on the map. I can't remember what pictures exactly but they were rather simple designs. We walked up to three girls and they were freaking out about how I could possibly afford a (cheap) blue gem on my thumb nail. I gave them all their own gems and they were ecstatic. Then we were walking down a dirt path with a spiked fence on our right but I forgot something and turned back while the rest of the group went forward. I turned to look back at them and suddenly I was surrounded by lions. They were male but didn't have manes. The lions on the opposite side of the (20ft) fence could jump over it. That's all I remember. Any idea as to what any of it means? I don't remember too many dreams and I just can't stop thinking about it.

In the dream you are creating the map by walking, the opposite of what usually happens, which is that the map is already created and you follow the routes on the map.

Being in a poor area where the girls think that the cheap gem is really expensive could have to do with you thinking about the value of what you have. This could have to do with material things but it could also have to do with your family, friends, skills you have, spirituality, etc.

How did the lions make you feel? Were you frightened by them or did seeing them make you have a good feeling?

The dream can refer to the subject area of poverty as well as to using grounds of reasoning in which aspects of the self are rather lacking in thought power. (in a poor area) As this is a Midwestern area, there could be grounds for feeling unenlightened, lacking in knowledge and awareness. You can see yourself making the most of a good idea (with a group of people) and going or getting somewhere when/by going on instinctive, emotional, understanding. (traveling on foot)

The pictures on the map can suggest that you have a picture – or an idea – of the ground you have covered but the design or purpose of getting somewhere in life may be rather simplistic. It would appear that there is no specific goal to get to as when traveling from point A to point B. Here the aim seems to simply cover a lot of ground through travel. Could the picture, or idea of the walk, suggest “a walkabout” as the term is used by the Australians? Routes creating pictures could also imply choosing to get somewhere in life by following a “creative” course of action – as would an artist. Note that the pictures created are not seemingly all that impressive (rather simple designs) and that each route or course of action produces a similar end result.

The 3 girls represent a good or godly feeling, one that emotionally has you freaking out about cost or money. (how I could possibly afford) The gem can be seen as a very valuable truth. The blue gem implies a truth that is spiritually approved, yet here it apparently has relatively little value. (cheap) blue gem) The gem, being on the thumb nail, would suggest you see a spiritually approved truth – one of actually little value – applying to some aggressiveness that you can count on first and foremost. [Are you perhaps trying to achieve an artistic career and put a lot of value on the idea of never give up?] You have managed to appease yourself emotionally with such a truth. (the girls were ecstatic with own gems)As you and the 3 girls all have a gem, it would suggest that a truth being dealt with reflects very worldly thinking in.(4 gems)

You see yourself making progress following a losing course of action (walking down a dirt path) – one seen as a natural path, i.e. one God designed but not one taken by more rational thinkers. (cars tend to use a paved road). What appears correct (on the right) is the idea of there being two sides to a situation. (a fence). The spiked fence tends to suggest that you would not want to “sit on the fence” here, i.e. not delay making a decision when you have to choose between two sides in an argument. You could perhaps think that you have forgotten something and do yourself a good turn by reversing your course of action (turned back) even though the aspect of yourself that has provided emotional support (the group) would have you continue on the losing course of action.( the group went forward) You may want to look at the idea they represent in hindsight. (look back at them)

What may have been forgotten could be represented by the lions, an emotional aspect of yourself. As they surround you, it implies they represent a feeling from which it is difficult to escape. As there are a number of lions, they could represent a feeling of pride - although males do not usually make up a pride but these are not the usual males either. The male lions would refer to the more logical aspect of the feeling of pride yet you seem to be seeing the feeling from a more emotional perspective. (female lions have no manes – but also form the majority in a ‘pride’ of lions) The male lions without manes, can suggest that pride need not be a scary thing. Without manes they resemble females, which can also imply that not only males can feel pride. Using the feeling of pride, you can overcome a situation in which there are two sides to an argument or debate. (The lions on the opposite side of the (20ft) fence could jump over it)

In this respect, that you are "Jennymeow" suggests a play on words that connects your self-identification with "big cats." Or, if you're a cat person, perhaps these dreamworld "kitties" are simply of a different order of magnitude than your waking world felines.

You are a leader and have alot to offer other people, especially other young women.Your life has been very challenging but you have the opportunity to use what you have been through and what you have learned to help others. Dont take for granted the gifts you have. You have alot to give. Advice and wisdom that is needed for others to over come similar situations. Make sure you surround yourself with positive people as well. Especially healthy males. Choose the right side of the fence so to speak. Surround yourself with positivity and keep away from old unhealthy relationships
