Hi first of all i dreamed that i was amongst polar bears who were all washing in a big river..one started to sneak up on me but i managed to get away to safety to a main road. i was some kind of scientist in the dream. My partner was missing amongst the polar bears. I then was lying on an examination bed in my science centre and my partner started to kiss me .. my husband then walked in and pretended he didnt see it but we all new he did? any ideas? Last night i dreamed i was pregnant and about to give birth ..we were haveing a scan and in the middle of the room was a big pond and a tiger was submerged in water ...my daughter was close to the side and i was worried it would attack her but tehy said it wouldnt...it then jumped up at her but instead of attacking her it walked into its cage? Any ideas?
Are you pregnant or trying to get pregnant in waking life?I'll assume that you aren't, for now. It's hard to say what the polar bear means without knowing about any issues in your life. Animals in dreams in general have to do with instinctive forces or powerful forces that we repress because we are part of civilized society. A bear can be a symbol of strength and power but also maternal love. The fact that it is a polar bear could be related to feeling icy, numb or unemotional or maybe repressing your emotions. If you are concerned about the environment in waking life (and what is happening to polar bears), then it could also have to do with worries about having a comfortable place where you can live and have your needs met. The part about your partner (I'm guessing that this partner was just your partner for the dream, not a person you know in waking life) kissing you and your husband not seeing could also be related to the idea of emotional coldness and not paying attention to clues about how someone else is feeling. The tiger is another symbol of power and strength. I think in the dream, your being afraid of the tiger has to do with you being afraid of powerful emotions inside of you (related to the "numbing" symbolized by the polar bear. Your daughter, who isn't afraid, represents the more innocent, basic part of yourself who knows that you have to let yourself face these feelings and that in the long run, it won't be so bad.
Well, this dream could definitely be pregnancy related - not that you necessarily are pregnant or will become pregnant, but that your thoughts are about pregnancy. Dreams about animals and water are often associated with pregnancy. Powerful animals like bears and tigers can represent the strength that a mother has when protecting her young. They can also represent fears of danger to your child (or potential child). You might want to look at this page on pregnancy dreams.
Hi..your analysis has been very spot on.. i had problems with my last pregnancy that ended in my baby dying when i was 5 and a half months pregnant ..i have never got preganant again despite trying for 6 years.
I'm sorry about what happened with your last pregnancy. I hope all goes well with this one and you have a healthy, happy baby.
Sorry, I got confused. I hope you are happy whatever happens in your future. (I am very sorry if I upset you by suggesting that you were pregnant. It was thoughtless of me.)
