It started out I was in my apartment with my husband and we were looking at the sun slowing going down. I suddenly noticed when it was about half way down that it looked like a sun eclipse. As I am pointing this out to my husband the sun sudden starts to fall vertically towards earth. It slams into earth and everything starts to quake. I hold on to my husband as the world shakes. When it stops the world outside is dark.

We rush out side to see if we can find someone who knows what has just happen. In my head I am think, “It’s the end of the world! But it isn’t 2012 (LOL I really don’t believe that but remember this was a dream.).” I then think, “God has come back and left me! I need to call my aunt she wouldn’t have been left!” At some point a new smaller sun has come up and taken our suns place but it’s not quit as bright.

I call my aunt and when she answers I am trying to ask her why we were left behind. As I am on the phone I look up and I can see this clear film that coats the earth and its ripped and I think, “Oh that’s why the sun fell out of the sky crashing into earth. “ My next thought is, “If we don’t find a way to seal that tare were all going to die.”

That’s the last I remember. I know the dream scared the hell out of me. I was one of those dreams that you feel such horror when you wake up you can’t shake it for a while.

    Any interpretations would be appreciated.

The dream sounds like you have been anticipating (perhaps unconsciously) that something bad will happen. Not necessarily a physical disaster, but maybe a change in your life that will affect your emotionally.

The part where you said you need to find a way to seal that tare (did you mean to say tar?) is a message that you can do something to help this bad thing from happening.

The smaller sun taking the place of the brighter sun makes me think of a solution to a problem that is adequate but isn't the best solution.

By the way, there was a total lunar eclipse two days before you posted. If you had heard about that, it could explain why your unconscious used an eclipse as a symbol.

By tare I meant rip in the atmosphere. I hadn't heard about the eclipse that I am aware of.

Thanks for the help. I hope nothing bad is going to happen.

When a dream warns you that something bad might happen, your unconscious is usually doing this to make you try to pay attention to what is happening around you and notice what might be going wrong so you can do what you can to prevent it, or to at least make things a little bit easier.

You still have control over things.

I am about to graduate school and have been scared once I tried to find a job I would fail. This is probably it.

Good luck with your job search.

I found the dream to be heavy on religion, such as being left behind. "Left Behind" is a series about what occurs on earth after the rapture.

Our sun (son?) being replaced by a smaller sun could be a metaphor for Christ and the anti-Christ.

I'm wondering if, with the Christmas season upon us, all of the religious imagery is going to influence people to have more religious themed dreams. I live in a place where Christmas is pretty much a secular holiday, so you don't see a lot of seriously religious Christian imagery, but I imagine in many places it is very pervasive.
