I was originally dreaming about something else, but I can’t remember it clearly. It was something about a house or something. But in the middle of it my dream suddenly shifted to the image of a young man in his late 20s to early 30s standing by a fountain.
He was blond with green eyes and his hair was slightly overgrown. There was a sparrow that was frantically chirping into his left ear while he seemed to be listening. Then the bird started to bite at his ear until it started to bleed, but the guy just started smiling almost triumphantly.
I know that it doesn’t sound scary but I nearly fell out of my bed when I woke up and was unable to get to sleep for almost an hour. What do you think?

I just had a dream about aggressive birds, so your dream freaks me out too!

I also think of the phrase "a little birdy told me." It's like this guy has some inside knowledge about something and is pleased with it. The pecking at the ear could represent a distortion of the truth, like a rumor mill.

Have you or someone you know been the victim of rumors?

How strange that we would have similar dreams, lol. Your theory on rumors does seem to fit the image of the dream, but I haven't been involved in any rumors lately.........none that I'm aware of anyway.

Then perhaps it's a symbol for a desperate attempt to get someone's attention. Have you put forth an idea or a want to someone whose opinion you admire but they have not reciprocated?
