I have been having a few dreams about death lately but this one is sticking in my mind.

I was in a new city with someone who was my friend, but I don't know her in real life. She suggested we go boating on this large lake with many inlets and tons and tons of trees, green pine trees. The boat was a small wooden boat, but sturdy and well built. The lake was a dark blue green color, but you could still see a little ways in the water and it didn't seem dirty, just mossy. We were just rowing along and all of the sudden dead bodies started floating to the surface, some faces you could see and some not. They had been there a few days probably as they were puffy. I told my friend about them and she said she knew and just kept rowing like it was no big deal. I wanted to get out of the water and tell someone but she just kept rowing and said not to worry. I wasn't extremely scared of the situation just unnerved and wanting to get away from the dead bodies.

Anyone have some ideas what this could mean? I don't like dreaming of death..

How did you feel when the woman you were with thought the dead bodies were no big deal? Where you upset? Angry? And why? Her reaction to this bizarre happening could be your perception of how people view problems compared to how you view them.

The dead could also represent old (dead) thoughts and feelings rising to the surface of your conscious mind, after having been buried for a time. Things may have been relatively calm in your life (like the lake) but now things are starting to come to the surface again.
