I'm sitting in a pub or someplace similar. A man that I used to work with in waking life walks up to me. In waking life, he is very overweight. (At least he was the last time I saw him; I haven't seen him in a while.)

In the dream, he has lost a lot of weight. He asks me if I notice anything different about him. I lie and say "no" because I think that if I say "you've lost weight" it will imply that he used to be fat and that will be insulting to him. I feel a bit silly, though, because he clearly looks very different than he used to.

Then he walks over to speak to some other people and they are complimenting him on his weight loss and I feel stupid.

What do you think this means?

Did you say or do something recently that made you feel that way? Do you worry about what other people would think if you speak your mind?

Do you feel you failed to notice something that was obvious to others? Did someone compliment you or overlook something about you that made you feel "stupid?"

There could be something to that.
