1-27-07 I'm helping out with a class at school. The homeroom teacher tells me I can take the girls to break the class in half, so I ask him "How about the playground?" I laugh at this because they are sophmores. Then I'm sitting through a lecture about ? something to do with ways of either killing a body or preserving it. The bottom thing on the list, which is a illustrated diagram, shows dry ice. Then I'm coming out of stasis, I had been frozen. I see people outdoors wearing bird masks and Vice-President Dick Cheney is rubbing my back and neck as I push buttons on a machine (for what isn't clear). end bizarre. the creepy part is having Dick Cheney touching me. Ewwwwwww! I think the bird masks may be related to the history lesson I observed recently (I work with a student at a high school with learning disabilities) that showed how during the bubonic plague people went around wearing masks with beak type features where they put herbs and sweet smelling perfumes in it to avoid the stench of death from the plague.
I don't understand that first bit, where you laugh about the playground suggestion because they are sophomores?
I laughed about the playground because it is something considered for grade school, ages 6 to 13. But don't feel bad about not getting it, it's a very weird dream to begin with.
Well it's a great dream. Would you like to go into stasis, wake up when all your/the world's troubles are over - or so unfamiliar that you don't care?
I don't know if Maljonic knows the meaning of the adjective "sophomoric" (sp?) Sophomore is an American term. Could that be a clue?
I did not realize that "sophmore" was an American term. Sophomoric certainly can apply to the dream. I work with a student who is not only a sophmore (10th grader), but he is also immature. He acts like a ten year old. It does get to be cumbersome sometimes. I dont' think I like the thought of being put on stasis, unless I could be gaurenteed that the world would be a better place. In the dream when I'm coming out of stasis, the world has gone back to the dark ages. Now that I think about it, this country seems to be reverting backwards. Yeah, maybe that's the underlying theme. Sophmores (immaturity) and living in the dark ages when people were still ignorant and given to superstition. We're still waiting for the enlightenment.
