I have searched for info on this but cannot find any...

My good friend of a few years had a dream about me and my deceased Mom. She has never met her before or seen a picture of her. I met this friend after my Mom passed.

In the dream I wanted to go to a concert with my husband so my friend asked who was going to watch my son? I said my Mom. She saw my Mom standing by the crib where my son was and she looked so happy. She described her exact haircut to me. I showed my friend a picture of my Mom and she said that it resembled her so much...the hair, eyebrows and the physique were the same. She couldn't see her whole face in the dream. Is it weird to think it was my mom in the dream? And why would she go to someone she never met? Instead of me or family. I have been crying (in a good way) over this all day...it's very emotional. I feel like she was trying to convey that she watches over my son. Thanks for reading...

That could be, but I wonder why your friend dreamed about your mother, rather than you. What impression does your friend have of your mother? What have you told your friend about your mother?

Do you think your friend would have come to your mother for help or advice if she knew your mother when she was alive?

Thanks for the reply. I think the dream is so strange is because my friend dreamt about her. It wouldn't be as strange if I did or someone that actually knew her..

I have only told my friend she passed away. Nothing personal. And not anytime recently have we talked about her. I don't think she would have come to my mother for advice but I feel I ask my friend for advice and see her kind of as a motherly figure even though we are close in age.

Also forgot to mention my mother was wearing a red outfit and she said the color red really stood out.

Well, red is a symbol of life and passion (red blood), so the red could have to do with the idea that your mother is still alive in a way (in your memory).
