11-30-10 I'm crouching in a bedroom, ducking between the bed and wall and trying to hide my head. A lightning storm is occurring and the lightning is like a meteor shower, with balls of electric charges plummeting to earth, making a hissing sound followed by a loud bang. The "lightning" shape and color resembles huge snowflakes. In the corner of the room, some sort of electrical gadget is lighting up with every crash, with the snowflake pattern appearing through the glass portion of the thing. A boy of about 12 yrs. is frantically gathering up coins in boxes which he claims are his. He decides to hide with them outside while sitting on a chair under a blanket. Somehow he escapes the onslaught of lightning. end
The lightning storm makes me think of someone with a terrible temper. The gadget in the room lighting up is a reminder that you can't even be safe inside your own house - the force extends inside the house. The coins could represent the valuable parts of the self, the things that provide comfort and strength.
Wow Marcia, that's a great interpretation. The only thing that doesn't resonate is the part about the temper. I do worry about losing mine sometimes, but I'm usually pretty mellow. The family did have a scare this week. My niece's boyfriend's son lapsed into a coma after suffering a seizure and just came out of the coma yesterday. The same thing happened to another boy at his school and Center for Disease Control is investigating the incidents. I also freak out during storms, especially lightening and wind storms because I live in a trailer that can be carried up in a strong hurricane wind. As I get older, I realize that nothing can last forever and we need to cherish what we have today and love and cherish each other today because tomorrow never knows.
Ah yes, I didn't even make the connection between the seizure and the lightening. And the boy "weathered" the storm.
