Hello everyone! So, I've always had weird dreams, but lately, I've been trying to figure out what they mean. I'd like to go over a few strange dreams or reoccurring dreams that I've had and see what others think of them.

-Dream 1-
This is a bit of a reoccurring dream that I have frequently. It's almost always the same. Me, in the backseat of a car, my dad is driving. There's a bad storm going on outside the car. It's so bad, I can't see more than 20 feet in front of the car. There's a huge fog hoovering over the road. Out of the fog, and this always happens, comes a tornado. Sometimes I wake up right at this point, other times...We come out of the fog, and there are tons of tornadoes. All across the land. Tornadoes occur in A LOT of my dreams.

-Dream 2-
This is a weird variation of dream 1 that I had a few nights ago. I've never had it be so different before. Basically, everything is the same, except instead of a storm -- it's pitch black outside. My dad is still driving, but I'm a little kid in the backseat. The road is so dark, I can't see anything, and it terrifies me. I keep begging my dad to turn the headlights on, but he won't. A tornado comes out of nowhere, and I'm even more afraid. From the passenger seat of the car, a hand comes from around the side and hands me a black rose. It's so beautiful, and it calms me completely. Then, I woke up.

-Dream 3-
This type of dream is what I call movie style dreaming. Almost all my dreams are like this -- like a movie. It goes in and out of 1st and 3rd person. Everything is perfectly edited as if it's a movie. I can literally feel and taste everything in these dreams.
Anyway, the dream...This happened last night. It starts out in a field. I'm on a sort of site seeing trip with a group of people through some countryside. It's cold, very cold. My breathe makes fog in the air and I'm wearing a heavy coat. I'm texting my favorite musician (this musician pops up somehow in every dream, no matter what the dream), and I'm frustrated, because he isn't returning my texts. While busy texting, I fall behind the group. As I'm about to go catch up with the, I hear twigs breaking to my left. I turn in that direction and see a old...I can't even thing of a word. Stone archways, rusted iron fencing. It's an old courtyard looking area in the middle of nowhere. All covered in old, dead vines and leaves. As I walk towards it, I see a small grave with Japanese writing on it (which was super weird to me). I remember thinking in the dream, "I wonder if I'll find Kami's grave here." He's a drummer from the old band of my favorite musician, and he died several years ago. I kept thinking about that, and then I walked through an archway. I saw a stone table with chairs. Then, a rock floated through the air. It went in an L shape basically. It dipped down when it reached the corner of the L shape, and touched the center of a small, broken hand mirror on the ground; then, it floated over to me, gently landing in my hands. Then, I woke up.


These dreams were just very strange to me. If anyone has any input, that'd be great. Thank you so much for your time!

Weird Dreams 1/2

Because it is your father driving the car, it seems to me that there is some part of your animus (or male aspect of your personality) that you feel gets you, or leads you into disasters. Your superego is trying to direct and communicate with that part of yourself, but that part won't listen, and takes you directly into the path of danger. The second variation with the black rose says to me that some feminine, anima, or yin part of yourself comes out of these moments of disaster to calm you, or put your mind at ease. However, the disaster never leaves, and keeps reoccuring.

Storms in a dream can represent repressed anger in waking life. The fog can represent being lost or frustrated. Being a passenger in a car can represent feeling that you don't have control over something. Since your dad is driving the car and you are the passenger, do you sometimes feel frustrated by things that your dad does that you can't control?

What strikes me about this dream are all the images of cold, death and decay, of being abandoned - by the musician not returning your texts and the group leaving your behind. Have you been thinking about the loss of someone or something in your life?
