I just had a disturbing dream.
In my dream I was living in a old trailer next to a huge hayfield, rimmed on two sides by old growth fir trees. I had to drive thru a large forest with tall trees to get to my trailer.
That day a violent wind storm (not a hurricane) came and big trees were breaking off and up-rooting everywhere. One huge piece almost hit me as it came crashing to the ground. I could feel it as it passed by my head and the ground shake as it hit the earth. I told my husband who was with me and he didn't care.
When the winds had gone I ventured out of my old trailer to see devastation everywhere. I walked down the road to the farm that had the black horses and people where outside. I saw somebody checking his cows and all the horses were fine I could see them in a field. I could hear a dog yelping in pain and the owner said he was injured by a falling tree and will have to be shot.
I saw somebody I knew but hadn't seen for a long time (the owner of the black horses) and he was sort of cool toward me, it was his dog that was injured.
Then my dream sort of changed to something unrelated and faded and I don't remember what happened next.

    Any ideas?

Weather in dreams often symbolizes your emotions.

In dreams, storms often represent pent-up emotions that you repress in waking life. They get released in your dream in the form of storms.

Since your husband doesn't care in the dream, do you feel that, in waking life, your husband doesn't pay attention to your needs or that he doesn't realize what is important to you?

In the dream, the dog is the only animal that was injured. Since dogs stand for loyalty - do you feel that your loyalty is not appreciated?

    Thank you Marcia.
The interprtation of my dream pretty much sums up my waking life.

What does the black horses mean? There was about 10 of them.

According to the dream dictionary, black horses symbolize delays, so they could stand for your being frustrated in your dream.

How were the horses behaving? Were they calm, angry ...?

They were calm, eating in the field. Not in bunches but apart from one another.

Since they were calm and separated from each other, they could represent people who don't pay attention to the concerns of other people, and how that causes frustration.
