A woman and her child are lying on the floor/ground (I don't remember the setting) a few yards in front of me and my husband. The son is closer than the mother, but he isn't blocking her. - Thinking of positions on the face of a clock, child is at about 8 o'clock and mother is at about 11 o'clock. The child is breathing in an odd, loud, rapid way, which means he is having some kind of "seizure." The mother is perfectly fine, even though she is also lying down. She is just there because she is with her son. I ask my husband, who has first aid training (this is true in waking life) to help. He runs past the child and throws himself on top of the woman. In my dream, this is a way of him performing some type of CPR. I tell him that it's not the mother who needs help, it's the son, so he gets up and throws himself on top of the child. I'm very surprised that my husband, who is supposed to be the expert, can't tell that it's the child who needs help when the child is making these very loud, obvious breathing noises and the mother is just lying there peacefully and quietly.
:spit: I'd like to her Maljonic's interpretation of this. The thing I can relate to in this dream is being surprised when the expert doesn't either know or can't get it right. I've had some health issues lately and I wish I had a dollar for every time the doctor told me she didn't know what was wrong or suggested taking Tylenol and Ibuprofen for pain at the same time. Aferall, they're both in the same category of medicines. Have you been in a situation where you expected someone to know what they were doing and end up surprised that they didn't know sh*t??
