Pregnant Dream Meanings

Wanting to be pregnant for many is very common in waking life, so dreaming about being pregnant is also very common so can simply be a reflection of your wishes.

Obviously the reverse can also be true, if you are afraid of being pregnant in waking life, your dream of pregnancy can be brought about by your anxieties and fears of being pregnant and/or giving birth.

It will be easy to tell how you feel about pregnancy and giving birth, if you’re not sure, by paying close attention to your feelings in the dream – were you afraid, angry or joyful etc?

If you are young or/and have a lot of sexual partners, you may be worried about getting pregnant and your dreams may reflect this worry, or may even be warning you of the possible results of your actions, suggesting you take more precautions?

Sometimes men may even dream about being pregnant, and in fact it is quite common if your wife or girlfriend is expecting a baby and you are going to become a father. You may be experiencing sympathetic emotions, joys and fears with your partner in your dreams, or simply be worried about your abilities as a father? This is very normal, no one is ever fully prepared to be a new father or parent.

Pregnant dream meanings

Also, if you are a woman, it is very common to dream about pregnancy and giving birth when you actually are pregnant. You may dream about giving birth, or dream that you are closer to giving birth way ahead of the actual time in waking life. These dreams could reflect your anxieties, but they can also be a sign of your subconscious mentally preparing you for this momentous event?

Don’t forget also, if you really are pregnant, that a second mind, a second consciousness is developing within you and you are already developing deep bonds with this new life, physically, mentally and spiritually.

Dreaming of Pregnancy When You Are Not Pregnant

There are also many different dream interpretations for pregnancy dreams occurring when you are not pregnant at all, and not likely to be pregnant. One of the emotions a baby provides is unconditional love, or love without requiring anything in return, other than love of course. Therefore, dreaming of being pregnant can reflect a yearning for such love.

Also, birth is associated with new beginnings, so dreaming of pregnancy and birth can be a sign of new beginnings, or being expectant of change in your life. You may already be thinking about embarking on a new strategy, project or direction in your life, and the pregnancy in your dream could be a reflection of this expectant feeling? In fact, the way you feel in the dream pregnancy can be an indicator of your inner feelings regarding your upcoming, planned change to your life? For example, if the dream pregnancy gave you a warm, joyous feeling, and it was all going nicely, it can be reflective of positive feelings regarding your waking life decisions? However, if the pregnancy was full of woes and fears, it could be that you are worried about imminent changes in your waking life?

Being pregnant with twins in your dreams can reflect two aspects of your emotional self, or that you will have two choices or two simultaneous changes in your life.

Often in dreams other people represent different aspects of yourself. These other people might be someone you know, someone famous you know about, or someone you never met at all, but if you try and think what they represent to you in waking life, or only in your dreams, you can figure out why they are in your dreams. Furthermore, if you dream that this other person is pregnant it could be that you need to develop whatever it is they represent in your own life? For example, if you think of your best friend as super confident and they appear as pregnant in your dream, this can simply mean that you need to grow and develop your own confidence.

Pregnancy and birth are a massive part of human existence, and for some they are the mainĀ  reason for living, so dreams of being pregnant can be extremely significant messages from your unconscious mind and should be paid careful attention to.
